Previously Owned - Dinnerware

New to Excellent:  Items appear to be new and or never used and therefore in excellent condition.  There is no utensil wear, no chips, cracks or crazing.   

Excellent to Very Good:  Pieces have been used but are in very good condition.  There is some but very light utensil wear and no chips, cracks or crazing.

Very Good to Good Vintage: Pieces have been used as intended and are in quite good condition.  There is light to medium utensil wear but no chips, cracks or crazing unless mentioned specifically under Item Condition for that item.

Good Vintage Condition:  Pieces are old, have been used as intended and show normal usage and light to medium utensil wear.  There could be some small nicks and cracks. Light to Medium crazing can be expected.

Poor Condition: We rarely list any items in poor condition unless they are very old, rare and collectible.  If so, you can expect that there will be condition issues such as chips, cracks and crazing.

All of our items may need some light cleaning as is usual in most estate ware.  We list hundreds of items and unfortunately cannot clean each item to perfection.  However we never ship anything that is disgusting!    If there is any question that an item should or should not be cleaned due to decreasing its value, the cleaning will be left up to the buyer.

FLATWARE

We strive to purchase good quality used flatware from name brand manufacturers such as Oneida, International Silver, Wm. Rogers, Reed & Barton, Stanley Roberts, Waterford and Others.  We would not buy or list anything that we would not feel comfortable using in our homes for our own family.  

New - Item(s) are brand new, never used and obtained from the manufacturer or retail store.

Very Good - Items are used and may show light use with some light scratching/scuffing mostly on the blade, bowl, tines.  Blades, tines, bowls, etc, are all straight and overall very good condition.

Good - Items have been used and do show normal everyday use.  There is visible utensil wear and scratching.  There could be some marks that may or may not come out/off once polished or cleaned.  There could be some very slight curving or bending but nothing that is major or would prevent them from continued use.

Poor Condition - We rarely list any items in poor condition unless they are very old, rare and collectible. Defects will be listed under item condition.

Silver Plate - We typically only clean and polish the items that are being photographed. Cleaning of the pieces you receive is left up to the buyer and is reflected in the cost.

Previously Owned - Soft Items, Clothing, Dolls, Toys, Etc.

We typically do not clean these types of items for fear of devaluing the item. If it is appropriate and only needs machine washing we will do so. Cleaning is usually left up to the buyer.
