IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MAILING BEFORE CHRISTMAS!
The Swedish mail company, Swedish Post, says that in order for things to arrive in time for Christmas, they should be mailed from here the following dates:
To Europe: letters Dec. 17, packages Dec. 11.
Rest of the world: letters Dec. 10, packages Dec. 7.
Letters=below 2000 grams, packages=above 2000 grams. From my experience, letters & packages sent after these dates (not too late though) also have a good chance to arrive in time for Christmas. Please note that I can't send any mail Saturdays & Sundays from here.
The last day before Christmas that I will mail things is Friday December 18. After that day there will be 2 hour lines (without chairs) at the "Post Office" (a counter in a grocery store).
