| | | I've been a collector of Star Wars toys for over 15 years. Actually, I've been a collector of toys in general for over 15 years. My collection has grown in waves and spurts during that time, but has always been manageable. At least, until last year. With the release of so many new Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars toys into the market, I went on a rather considerable buying spree. To the point that my wife eventually had to reign me in. She really put the kabosh on my collection's seemingly exponential growth, when it began taking over her closet space. I had filled our basement, and really had no where else to put things. But, that was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back. It was(mutually) decided that I needed to begin the process of selling off some of my surplus stash. At first this was a hard fact to accept. Then, I broke out the entire collection and began to take a full inventory. | | | |
| | About a quarter of the way through that rather daunting process, I realized that she was quite right. The size and scope of my collection had gotten out of hand. So, I decided to begin to dribble out some of it's content onto eBay. Now, if time does not happen to be an issue for you, you can auction a few items a week in perpituity. But my wife wanted her closets back. Instead of simply selling individual groupings(lots) of items at auction, I decided to create a storefront and let people pick and choose which items they wanted. Buying items in lots is not bad, but it can be like buying a CD, you often get several pieces of crap that you didn't want, just to acquire the one or two gems that you did want. So(from a collector's standpoint) I thought the Storefront was the best option. I hope you agree. | | | | | |
| | | I've been an eBay member since 1999, and my feedback is 100%. I've worked really hard to keep it that way. I want every person that buys from me to have a good experience. I know it sounds kind of corny, but I mean it when I say that if you are not 100% satisfied, I will refund your money 100%(shipping included) upon return of the item. I mean that. As a Buyer, I've had to deal with some very difficult and unscrupulous Sellers. I don't want people to feel that way when they buy from me. If you feel it is not right, I'll do my best to make it right. Like it says on my Storefront, most of my items are at least 10% less than the current Lee's(ToyReview) book value. And I do my best to describe the items, and all their flaws, up front. I'm a collector too, and there is nothing more disappointing that receiving something you thought was mint, but has several flaws. That won't happen when you buy from me. Also, due to the sheer size of everything in my inventory, I've not been able to post nearly all of what I have to offer. If you don't see what you are looking for, please feel free to contact me at tadflowers@yahoo.com. I'll be happy to try to track down whatever specific item is on your 'want list'.
Well, all that being said, welcome to Tad's Collectibles, and thank you for looking. | | | |
