LIGHT, MEDIUM OR HEAVY DUTY? This is your main question about the hooks you will buy. Sometimes the over-loading of the hooks may wallowed out the holes and the board panels become further disfigured.
If you need to display or hang heavy things as tools or metal items, it is better to use the medium or heavy duty hooks. For appliances many people use medium duty hooks, while for a lot of small retail displays, managers use standard hooks. There is not a declared statement about the weight that each kind of hook can suport (also depends of the hardboard and lenght of the hook that you are using) but some tests say that 6" medium hook can be support until 30 Lbs.
