Here are some detailed policies and promises from us to you! These are standardized and available for review here, since eBay updates their own policies all the time and it is easier to make changes here in one spot than in 1,000 plus individual listings. Note that any statement in the main text of the description that contradicts these policies shall be governed by this policy page.

Some Important New Info About Corndog Collectibles!

Now that I have a full time job, Corndog Collectibles is a part-time venture for me, and all proceeds that my family now collects from any of the stuff I sell goes toward out-of-pocket expenses to care for our youngest son, Bennett, recently stricken with a devastating form of childhood epilepsy called Infantile Spasms. Payment Option and Specifics

• Effective in October 2008 eBay is no longer allowing Sellers to accept any kind of paper payments; this means money orders, checks or any other non-electronic payments. Therefore the only payment type I can accept is PayPal. Please do not place any bids or use Buy it Now unless you are able to pay using this method. Otherwise the auction will have to be voided and you could receive an Unpaid Item mark on your eBay record.

• Payment is expected to be received no later than 7 days from close date of auction.

• Any auction that is not paid for in 7 days will be sent into Unpaid Items, the eBay Collections Service. Once that occurs, you still have some time to settle your payment and receive no mark on your permanent eBay ID, and I am always open to discussions with any buyers about settling up…I do understand that problems and issues can come up in people’s lives. I am extremely flexible and understanding in that regard. However, there are limits and after an item is sent to Unpaid Items if you ultimately fail to honor your commitment to buy the result is an Unpaid Items strike on your eBay ID.

Special Note About International Shipping Costs

• International buyers, your shipping costs and options should automatically appear when you view the auction, or you can calculate your shipping costs using the handy-dandy shipping calculator provided in the auction!

• All items are shipped using PRIORITY MAIL INTERNATIONAL and include TRACKING CAPABILITY unless indicated.

• SPECIAL NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I don't know anything about the sellers you have purchased from before, but they may have a different policy than I do, as I will NOT ship FIRST CLASS for any international shipments anymore, only Priority Mail International so that I can track the shipment. This is to prevent any possible issue of claims of non-delivery, as many of you have very unusual addresses and circumstances. The negative here is that Priority Mail International calculates at a 1 pound minimum, not really according to the weight of a loose figure, so the shipments can be very expensive and not favorable to international buyers. However this is not a hidden cost, it is openly available to you in the auction prior to your making any attempt at a bid. If you think the shipping costs are too high, then DO NOT PLACE A BID.

Combined Shipments

• The below specified added cost for combined shipments applies only to those items that do not feature Free Shipping. When an item has free shipping and another item you are buying is also featuring free shipping, there is obviously no extra cost to combine these shipments in one package.

• To get an estimate for multiple items you wish to combine into a single shipment, you can use the existing shipping calculator within any auction to get a price for a single basic item. Always use the largest item you are interested in as the first shipping cost, as this will be the Base Shipping Cost I use for the shipping discount calculation. Once you have that cost, add 1.50 to 2.50 for smaller items (most 4-6 inch scale humanoid figures with average bulk) and around 2.50-8.00 for each additional large item (bulky figures, figures larger than 6 inches, vehicles, etc.) you would want to purchase. This can fluctuate in either direction depending on the size and weight of the items, but it is a very safe bet to calculate a shipping estimate. Because of the large volume of items up at one time and the huge variety of sizes and weights of various items, I cannot do specific shipping quotations for live auctions, so creating an estimate is up to you. I appreciate your understanding.

• After the auction is over and I can add combined weights and assess packaging sizes needed, I will send you an invoice with the shipping discount in it, so please be sure you would wait to remit payment until after receiving my invoice so you can get the discount.

• Sometimes combo shipments are unavailable due to size of item, but that will be indicated in the main text area of the description.

• By combining shipments you save a nice chunk of change so I encourage you to look around at my other auctions and check out The Corndog Doghouse, my eBay store, and see if there is something you dig!!!

Shipping Specifics

• Many of the items in the store and at auction include Free Shipping. Some do not however, and if the item is not a Free Shipping item the shipping costs and options should automatically appear when you view the auction, or you can calculate your shipping costs using the handy-dandy shipping calculator provided in the auction!

• Items are shipped via the United States Postal Service and in ALL instances include FREE Delivery Confirmation. U.S. buyers will be sent e-mail notification with tracking info for your shipment from USPS.com, so if you do not have their address in your safe senders’ area, the e-mail might end up in your Spam or Junk Mail filters…so be sure to check ‘em!

• International shipments are sent via USPS Priority Mail International. This service takes approximately 4-10 days depending on your country and location. Because all international postal services vary so greatly for each country the only way to receive the “NBS Guarantee” is by using Global Express Mail so that the item is both trackable and insured. International buyers please take note of this.

• All auction items are processed immediately after receipt of payment. It takes around 24 hours (excluding Sundays since the USPS is closed) from receipt of payment to get the item through the process and into the postal carrier’s hands. The faster your payment is received, the faster the item is on its way to you!

Items Out of Stock

• Occasionally there are going to be listings that feature a product that, after processing your payment, I find to be out of stock based on an inventory glitch. In the event of this problem your money will be refunded and a Mutual Withdrawal Agreement will be filed with eBay. This results in no strike against you and helps me to recover lost fees. Your cooperation in the event of an inventory shortage/refund is greatly appreciated. 

Refunds/Returns

• Due to the unique nature of many of the items I sell, product exchanges are usually unavailable since often I am selling one-of-a-kind items from a finite inventory and you may have just bought the last one from stock! But as for refunds or returns? Absolutely! Bottom line is this…if there is a reasonable problem, you and I are gonna solve it together so that you are a happy and satisfied eBayer. I call it the NBS Guarantee…that means “NO BULLS--T”, and I stand behind that 100%.

• International shipments are subject to the EMS guidelines mentioned above, and shipping costs are not refundable. Shipping costs on returned items are responsibility of the buyer in most circumstances. Damage caused by carrier negligence is only guaranteed if insurance is purchased on the shipment.

Manufacturer Defects

• As much as anyone tries to screen out potential problems as a seller, there are those occasions where an item will be sent to you that appears 100% cool on the outside, and then you open it up, start playing with it and the hand snaps off or some awful thing like that. It is one of the unfortunate characteristics of mass produced items…sometimes a dud slips through the system during manufacturing. I cannot be responsible for defects in manufacturing since it is so far out of my ability to control, however if you do experience a problem of that kind PLEASE contact me, maybe there is a solution I can offer or a suggestion about how you might be able to solve the problem on your own to either repair or replace your item.

Commitment to Quality Packages

• I've been buying on eBay for many more years than I have been selling, and one thing always stands out. More often than not I am HUGELY disappointed with the very poor way some sellers prepare their items for shipment. I can't tell you how many times I have opened a box to have my elation turn to horror as I see terribly wrapped contents of an item I have just spent my hard-earned money on. SO many damages and problems can be prevented with just a little thought and care...my goal is that your customer experience with me is second to none, and that starts with a commitment to making sure that your purchases are taken seriously when being wrapped and prepped for shipment. It takes a little extra time, but the results are always better in transport. The transaction isn't over when you send your payment...that is when it BEGINS.
