| The Healthy Cottage eBay store was opened in the fall of 2007 with the sole purpose of offering eco-friendly, non-toxic, organic & natural products that may be hard to find in some areas of the US and Internationally.
I wanted to be able to carry a variety of products that would allow buyers make healthier choices in their daily lives and products that would not be difficult to switch to from what they are presently using to a greener healthier version.
The products I look for need to be practical, easy to use , well made and economical in the long run.
They need to be quality products that meet one or more of the following criteria: non-toxic, organic and or natural, reusable , recyclable or biodegradable. I also look for products for people who are chemically sensitive and that are non-toxic.
It is a plus if they come in packaging that can be reused , recycled or biodegradable. Also if the company they are purchased from gives back to the planet or community.
The company also has to be socially responsible as to the conditions the products are manufactured in, meaning no child labor, animal testing or sweat shops. The employees are paid a fair wage and are working in healthy work environments.
I will not sell any product that I myself or family would not use or that would be used on our pets. If a product does not meet the criteria and standards I set-then it will not be sold.
