Did You Ever Wonder Why?

Christmas is just around the corner.  Yes, I said it, the “C” word.  It seems to me that one of Satan’s craftiest ploys is to use attempts at American “political correctness” to denounce, decry, and deny this one fact:  Christmas, which people around the world celebrate annually on December 25, is the commemoration of the birth of the baby Jesus, Immanuel, who was sent to save all people from their sins.  One  can “xmas” it (X is a symbol for Christ!), or “holiday” it (It certainly is a time for celebrating!), or ignore it, but the fact still remains that Jesus Christ IS the reason for the Christmas season.  Into this great country of America, founded on the Judeo-Christian heritage, we have welcomed all religions. What a shame that our openness has led misguided people to use our own government to try to “erase” God and His Son Jesus Christ from monuments and plaques, pledges and prayers, coins and currency, and now to obscure His celebrated day of birth.  Amazingly, in the midst of all this, a loving God cries out to every human heart to receive by faith His Son and learn the true joy of this season.
