Moulding is long and heavy so we cannot combine shipping on certain lots. This circumstance is due to the size limits and rate structures of small package shippers such as UPS. To clarify which items can be combined to reduce your shipping costs, we have implemented an item classification system and included detailed instructions in the "Billing and Shipping" section of each listing. These instructions will help you to determine if combined shipping is available for your specific order.
Each item is put into one of four classes based upon its packaging length and girth as follows:
Class A Packages: Small items under 60" in length. Blocks, accents, and 36" boards ship in these packages. Any number of blocks and accents can be combined to reduce shipping rates. The shipping cost has to be adjusted, so please wait for a combined invoice from us, before making payment.
Class B Packages: Small items over 60" in length. Small lots of moulding ship in these packages. Each Class B lot ships in a 4" x 4" x 98" box. The shipping for two Class B lots may be combined and order will ship for the same price as one lot would ship. That's right--shipping on a second Class B lot is free! The shipping cost has to be adjusted, so please wait for a combined invoice from us, before making payment.
Class C Packages:
Large items over 60" in length. Lots or items too large for a Class B
box ship Class C
. Each Class C
lot ships in a 7" x 7" x 98" box. We cannot combine shipping on any Class C
lots. Unfortunately, there is simply no way around this. These lots are the largest we sell that can still be shipped with small package shippers like UPS. Their length and girth puts each Class C
lot right under the size limit for OS2 packages. See UPS OS Regulations
for more details.
Class D Packages: Local pick up or less then a truckload common freight carrier. These are very large lots like flooring. Class D lots ship on a skid. This means a Class D lot can be combined with any other class, even Class C lots. Frieght and pick up arrangements are arranged on a case by case basis.
We CANNOT combine Class A, B,or C lots together except as stated above. For example, a Class B lot CANNOT be combined with a Class A lot. Board Class A cannot be combined with Block Class A. We have to work within UPS regulations. We have tried to design our shipping policy to provide our customers with the most product for the lowest shipping cost. We continually try to give you the best deal on shipping we can. No order will be charged handling or packing costs. We do flat-rate shipping when we can and some of our items ship absolutely free of charge! We've tried to simplify shipping as much as possible, but if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. If you have a large order, we will check LTL Rates for you!!
