While living in his Volkswagen Bus and only the task of riding a bike on his to-do list, Nick Martin began a simple mission: Sell all of his worldly possessions on eBay.
Minus his bike and his bus, Nick sold everything.
Fast forward 8 years to today and we present to you, The Pros Closet. Located in Boulder Colorado, The Pro's Closet has become the nation's premier eBay store specializing in reselling new and used cycling gear. With over 200,000 successful transactions, The Pro's Closet is a Titanium Power Seller, eBay's highest seller level.
If you are looking to sell your bike, components, clothing or accessories, we are here to help! We cater to clients both locally and nationwide offering pickups, consultations, expert advice and more. We are an avenue for anyone, (athletes, teams, shops, reps, companies, you) to free up space and put your unused product in the hands of people who will give it a second life. Buy something that already exists, it’s the greenest way to shop.
We challenge you to look at your surroundings in a new way: Do I use it? Does it inspire me? Does it add value to my life? If not, sell it so someone else can repurpose it.
Meet Our Staff
Nick Martin
Founder
Nick never intended to start The Pro's Closet, he was (and still is) a minimalist that wanted to simply create space. 8 years ago while living out of his VW Van in Grand Junction CO, he sold everything on eBay. At the time he was pedaling professionally for Trek/VW's regional team (www.ridewithnickmartin.com) and chasing "the dream". One thing lead to another and before he knew it, he was sitting behind a computer selling product for his peers while they where out training.
When Nick is not steering The Pro's Closet forward, he's collecting mid-century antiques, making music, mowing the lawn, pursuing his next chapter in interior design and kicking it with his black lab Norman.
Pete "Plo" Lopinto
Chief Evangelist
Pete is a Jersey boy and a encyclopedia of bike knowledge. He is our front man and "face" of The Pro's Closet. Pete and Nick joined forces 7 years ago while he racing for Sierra Nevada's Pro Road Team. Pete brought his road contacts to the business and the rest is history.
Outside of the shop Plo collects watches, races motorcycles and still sticks to his roots in the saddle.
Daryl "D" Saul
Operations Manager
Daryl was one of the original gangsters on the pro NORBA circuit, racing for Mongoose back in the 90′s. Here at TPC, it’s safety first, utilizing his carpentry and problem solving skills daily. D has built our warehouse up from scratch, whether it’s the ski racks, the plumbed in coffee machine, the high speed computer networks, the surround sound, or the photo studio…… it’s all custom, it’s all Daryl!
Aaron Barcheck
Auction Manager
A native of St Louis, Aaron is best known for being one of the world’s best frame builders. After working at Dean Bicycles for years, Aaron started up Mosaic Cycles here in Boulder CO and is currently building some of the best custom ti frames in the industry.
When he’s not perfectly stacking welds, popping his collar, or relaxing with his new wife Liz, he is managing our posting department and staying on top of the ever changing “science of auctions”.
Justin England
New Business Developement
Justin is a crowd favorite. Whether he is in the peloton, at karaoke bar, or entertaining his new baby girl, Darla.... he's making history. When we first met Justin, he was one of the best climbers on the pro circuit, racing for Toyota United. Before that, he was a collegiate cross country star and was recently inducted into the East Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame. Justin is a tough act to follow... anyone that knows him will concur.
Today Justin is head of our new business development working remotely from his office in North Carolina. Working along side retailers, reps, teams, athletes, and companies to help them manage their inventory, operate more efficiently and building relationships in a new retail market.
"Wyoming" Joe Taberna

Since his first BMX bike at the age of three, Wyoming Joe has gone wherever his bike has taken him. Leaving the Wyoming plains and heading east to Pennsylvania he found his second home at Camp Woodward, a premier action sports camp. Over the years Joe has taught kids from around the world how to have fun on a bike and enjoy the BMX lifestyle. During the summer Joe competes on the vert ramp in the Dew Action Sports Tour and trains at Dave Mirra's private facility in Greenville, NC. Joe graduated from Penn State with a degree in Recreation, Park Tourism Management and has a working knowledge of the bicycle industry having worked in several bike shops across the country and is certified from the Barnett Bicycle Institue.
Jason "Southern Belle" Bellegarde
Warehouse Operations
On a road trip through the Colorado Rockies at sunset (insert mental picture here), Jason decided to move from his southern roots in New Orleans to Boulder, Colorado. He caught the riding bug while living amongst the cycling culture of the West and last summer he jumped in the deep end, riding his fixed gear down the coast of California.
When he is not riding, Jason is cooking Cajun food, working on film sets, watching Indie films and teaching the rest of us how to be hip. He brings an artistic spark to The Pro's Closet and he is the reason your order is carefully packed and shipped within 24 hours. Jason is not a hipster.
