WE ARE THE REAL DEAL!
We have been on Ebay almost from the beginning (1999) and are the original Ebay sellers of the following suit labels. There are s few dishonest seller on Ebay that steal our hard earned title of "Ebay's #1 top seller of suits and ties" which we can prove as copied below.
Since many of our customers past, present and future continually ask why we choose to sell certain designers and have dropped other labels, please use this guide as our professional opinion about each label. (Please do not ask us to comment on other labels or to comment on other sellers. Thank you.)
Daniele:
The Daniele suit is one of our flagships suits We used to sell Daniele under a different name which I cannot mention online. The reason we now advertise the suit as Daniele is because we were under cutting retailers so badly the manufacturer won't let us advertise their name online anymore. I was given the ultimatum to either raise my pricing to $595-$895 or change the name. I figured doubling my prices overnight would not go over too well with my long time, loyal clients so I changed the name. This is the same suit that I have always sold, there is absolutely no difference in any way whatsoever.
The Daniele suit is constructed with a full floating canvas inner lining and is completely sewn together which is unheard of in a suit costing under $1500. This type of construction produces a suit with a superior drape, it is easier to tailor so it fits better. Additionally the basted seams create a suit that last much longer than a fused suit. The cut and design is a true Italian with broader shoulder and a slimmer waist than a US/British designer suit. The fabric on a Daniele is always a super fine super 150's or better and they all have pick stitching which is another expensive option.
Marco Valentino
Marco Valentino is the new kid on the block. The quality of construction is on par with Baroni but they offer a slim cut Italian design suit. The Baroni is considered a tad generous and usually only offers 2 pleat slacks whereas Valentino has a tapered jacket and most of their suits feature slim, flat fronts.
The Valentino jacket is mostly sewn together with some fusing on small parts like the lapels and features a Neapolitan Borelli style cut "Abito Sartoriale" with strait broad shoulders and a slim waist. I might even go on a limb and call it a tapered jacket designed for "Fit" individuals.
It is assembled with utmost care featuring pick stitching around the lapels, hem, pockets and even on the sleeve ends. It features a full canvas inner lining with fine horsehair for shape, comfort and durability. The shoulders are specifically formed to give extra softness while supporting the overall shape of the jacket. The stripes are hand laid and cut to ensure perfect matching and skilled tailors finish the suits to give a traditional tailored look. This is a great suit!
Leonardo Valenti
Another fabulous suit we just added. Leonardo Valenti is an exquisite suit Made in Italy and assembled with fabric from famous Italian fabric mills such as REDA, Tressilona, Vitale Barberis Canconico ect. The workmanship, fabric and construction easily rivals suits in the $1800+ range. The fabric is usually a super 130's or better and this suit is a real connoisseur's suit!
Mantoni
The Mantoni suits features a half canvas inner lining and is very impressive for any suit in this price range. The great thing about Mantoni is they are now offering most suits in a variety of styles like 3 button, 2 button, 4 button and we can mix and match slacks on the solid color suits!
In conclusion This page was developed to answer questions about the suits we carry and the suits we used to carry because these questions arise so often. If you see a suit on Ebay advertised as 'Made in Italy" OR "Imported from Italy"and priced around $150-$200 BEWARE!, The suit is most likely made in China in a cheap factory, sent to Italy to have labels changed and then imported to the US. I see these suits all over the Internet, many of they with faked tags using names copied from my store but changed a little and to be completely honest they are not a bad suit for the $150, but they are not made in Italy so teh seller is a lowest of low, iar thief.
