The suit arrived today and I have already left my positive feedback. I would like to elaborate a bit more here if I may.
First, regarding the suit itself. As we discussed, I am (modestly and humbly) a high level professional who owns a multimillion dollar organization and am fortunate enough to be at the top 3% income level in the country. In the past, the process of buying a suit has always been postponed until I either made a trip to Italy (which I do every year or two) or on rare occasions buying a suit from a local specialty shop. I am partial to Italian made suits as I believe they are the finest makers of suits in the world. This process usually resulted in not always being able to purchase new suits when I needed them, but instead when I was in country. Oh...and it should be said that the process also involved spending between $1k and $1,500.00 per suit. Being able to afford to spend this kind of money on a suit doesn't make me blind to taking advantage of a great deal if/when one should present itself, as long as quality isn't sacrificed. The suit I received today from you is of excellent quality and craftsmanship. The material is smooth and touchable, the lining is well put together and the stitching is clean and solid in construction. Everything you said it would be.
Now, onto an even more important subject and the reason why I am taking the time to write this letter. Your customer service was exceptional Jeff. As a business owner myself, I appreciate such personal attention, thoroughness and addressing any/all issues promptly and professionally. Ordering something as personal as a suit online for the first time can be a bit intimidating. You didn't hesitate in answering my many questions and it was you alone who gave me the confidence to make my purchase. To tell you the truth, I don't believe I would have otherwise. Also, as you are aware, upon ordering the suit and receiving your prompt notice of shipment, the first package never made it to me and is probably circling the globe as we speak. Upon my notifying you of the issue, you immediately (and I mean within minutes) had another suit sent to me which I received within days. This is but another example of your personal attention and confidence inducing level of service.
In closing, thank you! The suit is great, the price is right and the service was top notch! It is obvious to me why you have been successful in your business. I assure you I will be buying more suits in the near future.

I am including our prior correspondence to remind you of who I am. After you offered a full refund, a couple of things happened. First, I started looking for other suits on Ebay and found that Hart Schaffner & Marx (a brand I like) had a keyhole lapel just like the one on this suit. More to the point, I bought some books on mens' clothing and realized just how good a suit this is. Today I took your Baroni together with a couple of HSMs, an H. Freeman, and a Jos. Bank suit to the tailors for final alterations. I told the tailor they were all in the same price range. Everything was "ho hum" until I put on the Baroni. The tailor paused, looked at it a minute, and said in amazement, "How much did you pay for this suit?" It really is a fantastic suit, and I eat my prior words. Thanks again.

I just receieved my 3 Firado suits today. I was very skeptical as I began to take them out of the box...and then the tears came! WOW! I cannot beleive the quality of these suits! The jackets are beautiful in the back and shoulders, and the drape on the bax cut of the pants are perfect...I mean perfect! (This is where I suppose all of your customers begin to gush!). I grew up in a very wealthy home, my father was a CEO. I grew up wearing Italia suits by Givenchy, which were about $400 to $600 each back in the late 70's, early 80's. I have not been in suits that nice since I had to start paying for them! Until now. Jeff, thank you for doing what you do. I am 41, and since my father was from that Sinatra style era it was always about class in our home, and man your store has it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank You! I have to share this story with you. I received my suit on Tuesday. My wife said it was absolutely beautiful and loved it. Today, I go to The Mens Wearhouse, to get it tailored. I put it on, come out of the change room and the salesperson gasped at the suit and said what a beautiful suit it was. She ran her hands all over it and commented on the hand sewn seams and quality fabric. She didn't stop for a couple of minutes, seriously. She asked me where I got it and asked me to write down the information for her as she wanted to buy her husband one! She could not believe that I paid only $240 for it! She has worked at the Mens Wearhouse for 10 years! Take that George Zimmer!!!!!To say the least, I am extremely proud and excited about finding you and meeting my future clothing needs.

Hello, i just wanted to pass on a little story, i was in Saks last week, wearing the brown strip velvet jacket, blue and brown paisley shirt and jeans, ferragamo belt and boots: and 3 people stopped me and commented on it. The sales person wanted to know where it came from and the buyer in the mens dept also wanted the same information. I then went to Nordstrom where the men's dept manager stopped me inquiring about it, while talking to him 2 women walked buy at seperate times and commented (Beautiful jacket) while in Neiman Marcus a woman wanted to purchase one for herself. This is a beautiful sportcoat. I received the black one today and it is just as great. I'm wearing it tomorrow for appointments.

I wear a suit to work 2-3 times a week, and I may get one or two compliments a week about the suits (they are all HSM Gold trumpeter or Ralph Lauren suits). I wore the suit I got from you yesterday, and I seriously lost track of the compliments. At least 20 people approached me and commented on the suit. Jeff, I ordered 6 Mantoni suits and they showed up today. Unbelievable is the only word that can describe these suits. I ordered a suit from another ebay company and it showed up today also. I tried the other suit on first and thought it was cool. Its says its 150s. I opened up the box and was amazed. The fit, finish, and most of all the look was amazing! I spotted a few Shelby tie knots on your website. A neat knot, eh?! I find it the most underrated knot out there in regards to real-life raves from the public.I wanted to give you some feedback on the two 2-button Mantoni suits (tan and a medium grey) that I purchased last month. I first had the garments tailored by an outfit that does great work. Having the suit fit like a glove is oh so important. What I like about these suits is the overall drape and look, especially with cuffed trousers. The breast pocket and flap pocket details are understated strong points. A fair number of men wear the quasi-Brooks Brothers conservative look at my office, for lack of a better expression. From my vantage point, these Mantoni suits provide a classic Italian style along with a subtle sportiness. To your readers, I would argue that a top-notch dress shirt (or button-down for a slightly less formal look), coordinated belt/shoes (very high-quality, such as Bally or a similar look), and perhaps a sharp-looking pocket square (optional) are all that remain to provide a individualized look. Reactions when I wore the tan suit? Extremely positive comments from more than a dozen women. Such as "Who taught you how to dress so well?" (Answer: I have to give much credit to a particular 'ex' with impeccable style and taste). As for guys, they tend to give the "looking sharp!" comment here and there but tend to be less verbal than women. Jeff, many thanks for offering these great Mantoni suits at superb prices coupled with a very smooth transaction. The return on investment with these garments is well worth the purchase price.

By the way, I am returning the ISAIA to Sierra Trading Post...my tailor's comment was...when you can buy three (almost) Baroni's for the price of this one ISAIA, why? He thinks the Baroni offers 90% of the value of the ISAIA at a much better cost.

I was in the market for a suit and decided to buy a Baroni from Jeff (Wizard of Aahs) from ebay. There's certainly been enough talk about here on the forums and Andy's review was enough for me to give it a shot.

This is sort of my suit-wearing background. I wear a suit on occassion -- weddings, banquets, business trips (maybe 8 times a yr, but that might even be a high estimate). My initial budget was $300-400 but after reading these forums I came to the conclusion that my options in that range were limited. Though it sounds like many of you find amazing finds off ebay with some regularity, I preferred something new and also I needed short length with at least 8" drop. I actually just purchased a suit from a BR outlet that felt like I was wearing a sandwich board so I returned it and decided to give the Baroni a try.
I dealt with Jeff directly via email instead of ebay since I had questions about the cut/fit, pleated/flat and drop. He was extremely accomodating and easy to deal with, as many previous customers and members here have noted. Suit arrived today and I'm very pleased with it, especially for the price I paid ($*** including shipping). Shoulders fit and waist fit great and drapes well. Definitely not the BR sandwichboard I paid much more for earlier.
A nice little bonus was how well the suit arrived. I've heard a couple of horror stories about people receiving their online suits wrinkled. I had a Polo chino blazer I ordered online not too long ago arrive in a pretty disheveled state. On inspection it was fine but the momentary disappointment definitely tainted my perception of the product. (I ended up returning it) I know it's just cosmetic -- nothing a good steaming or simply hanging for a few hours won't take care of, but it's a nice feeling when you can pull something right out of the box and it looks great.
Anyway enough shilling! I just thought this might be an interesting opinion since there's always someone asking about ebay purchases, a student/intern/infrequent suit wearer looking for a good suit without a huge budget. It's how I came to find this forums so just sharing my experience with others... |

I want to thank you for the tremendous service I have received from your company. I purchased a Baroni Suit and a Black Silk Tie over the Memorial Day weekend and asked if they could be shipped asap on the 29th. True to your word, both the suit and the tie went out Priority Mail on the 29th. The shipping was lightening fast and the item arrived 48 hours after mailing.
Upon receiving the item, I went to my Tailor, who also happens to own a mid-size men's store and carries Canali suits, Faberge ties, and so forth. As I've quoted in the feedback I recently left for you, my tailor was floored. He just couldn't believe the quality of the workmanship, nor the superb look and feel of the cloth! He was especially taken back by the magnificent cut of the Baroni Suit! My tailor proclaimed, "This suit makes my Canalis look like cowboy clothes, or something you'd wear while herding the cattle!" Of course, I am tremendously pleased by his statement.
The Baroni Suit I purchased from you really is "First Cabin" All The Way!

In addition, thanks again for the quick delivery as my brother's wedding is in two weeks and this gives me ample time to get the suit to my tailor for alterations. The quality of the suit is better than I ever imagined. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical buying a suit on-line without trying it on as I normally shop for my business suits at Brooks Brothers. This was purchased as a birthday gift for my son, Jeff, who directed us to your eBay Store. I was truly amazed at the suits your display, and decided that since he already has a navy, charcoal and black suits, the latter one of yours, I would get him a "day" suit and really liked the tan stripped one. I have retired from my DoD job in DC, but had I known about your store when working, I would have loved wearing some of your suits. I'm sure he will enjoy this as much as the black. His tailor noted that to make a suit of the quality you sell, he would charge $3500, material alone at over $500/yard. He will be the best dressed medical student in new Mexico.

It truly looks like liquid and flows amazing. I even noticed the real button holes on the sleeves. WOW. and the pick stitching on lapels are classy. I just love this suit and I cant even wear my other dept store suits anymore lol. What junk they are. I thank u so much for helping me find such a great suit. I will only buy Baroni suits and those Leonardo V suits from now on. Only from you!!! Cant wait till my old suits wear out so I can get more from you. I have nothing but positive feedback for the Wizard of Ahhs. I was having a terrible time trying to locate chocolate colored suits for my September wedding, when I was refered to this store. Within several minutes of me sending an email inquiry to the store; Jeff, very reassuringly emailed me back, eager to help me find just what I was looking for. I ended up ordering ten suits - three of them were not available in the sizes I needed..... Jeff generously had his tailor alter three similarily-sized suits and they fit the groomsmen wonderfully! The suits are extremely well made and very fashionable! All of the groomsment agree that they will wear them again! I couldn't have asked for a more "seamless" transaction! Last week I took in a Canali, a Corneliani, an Isaia and the Baroni...and all four got a "nice suit". Sounds like you're hanging in great company...especially considering the value you're offering. For this price, its a great suit and much better than the other dept store suits I have. Heck I have a few Armani and zenga suits which Iam not even as impressed with as this Baroni. I came to realize that I was just paying for the name and a made in italy tag. 2K for a name, wow thats a jip. This is the first suit that has actually fit my wide shoulders and slim waist without looking funny. I thank you for helping answer all my 1000 questions I sent you and I deff plan on buying 1 to 2 more Baroni suits sometime soon when I find my color and size on your website. Thanks again. |

I've been meaning to write. Again I want to thank you for the beautiful suits and quick delivery. The Baroni actually came on the evening of my Anniversary. It was perfect and he loved it. The Mantoni came yesterday and I surprised him early for Father's day. Again he really liked it and commented that it would have been perfect to wear to the prom(he is chaperoning his for his school) tonight because it was terribly hot and humid in Jersey. But his Tailor said he would have to wait until the weekend. His tailor probably thinks we're loaded. That's about eight suits since December. I think I've lost count. We really need to take a break.
Want to hear something funny? We attended black tie fundraiser last evening and Mike wore the black chalk striped Italian suit with the vest you had sent him. We'll the Vice Presedent of the organization came up to him, and mind you that we had never met him before. He absolutely loved the suit and asked where Mike had gotten it. He asked if it was custom made. Mike immediately responded that it had been by his Italian tailor who also is the tailor for Brooks Brothers here in NJ. He kept asking how much it cost him to make. Mike responded $1200.00. He kept talking about how sharp it was and asking more information. Mike beat around the bush and would not give in. During the night he approached Mike again and asked bout the suit. Mike refuses to reveal his source. He wants all the suits for himself. I told him it was unfair and that he should have told him about your store. He's become a suit junkie.
We'll once again you've made him a happy man. The 48R fit even better .Thanks again for the superb quality. |

I wanted to let you know that the suit arrived today and it is really something special..! The coat fits really well and, in fact, I can wear it as is, without alteration, although I will have the tailor put a little touch on it next week ....... But honestly, I can wear it as is and it fits superbly. The pants are a perfect fit and only need to have the legs hemmed, which is a given on any quality suit.
After picking up my Baroni at the tailors today, I stopped by the Mall for a walk around with my wife. We looked in Nordstroms and Dillards and just for grins and giggles I checked out their suits ...... Long story short, both the Baroni and the Mantoni are Superior to any of the Freeman's, Boss, Hart/Schaffner/Marx, or Canali suits offered ..... And you know Dillards starts at $1000. for an H. Freeman, and $1300. for a Canali.

There is no way I can tell people how pleased I am with both your service and the quality of your merchandise in so few words. When it comes to customer service Nordstrom's always comes to mind. But in the on line customer service no one can do better then you. You were always quick to answer my questions and put my mind at ease. When I made a mistake in the shipping you did everything possible to make it right.
When I received the suit and tie, (in time thank you), it was better then what you described. I could not be more pleased then if I had personally picked it off of the rack. I had it tailored and it soon became my favorite suit. I will not hesitate to make another purchase from you and your company. As a personal note my son's wedding in Las Vegas was wonderful and I was proud to be part of the wedding wearing your suit and tie.

These suits are beautiful, the quality is excellent...I have to admit that I was a bit nervous at first...especially since they didn't fit exactly right at first...but I remembered that you told me to find a good tailor to adjust them. I simply wanted to let you know how much I enjoy the suits and am looking forward to buying more from you in the near future.

Tux arrived on Friday, in perfect condition! I will see that the previously shipped tux gets returned as we discussed. I am extremely appreciative and impressed with the customer service that you offer. It is very rare that a retailer is willing to bend over backwards for a customer the way you did. I have purchased suits from fine tailors, fine men's boutiques, national chains like S&K and the Men's Warehouse and I did not receive near the level of customer service that you offered me, even in the fine boutiques, where I paid nearly $1000 for a suit. You went above and beyond what was expected by overnight another tux when I discovered that UPS standard delivery was not going to make it prior to my black tie event. You then far exceeded my expectations by not charging me for the overnight shipping costs. With the growing internet business customer service has all but disappeared. I am glad to see that there are a few honorable and customer friendly merchants out there!
As for the quality of the suit: The tailor that hemmed the pants, a Mr. Tuxedo dealer, could not believe the quality, the look and the price of the tuxedo! It was beautiful! I attended an exclusive fundraiser on Saturday night at the Biltmore Estate with my beautiful wife and we were complemented all night on how great we both looked!
Thank you for being such a big part of a wonderful evening! I will certainly purchase many future business suits from you.

I've got to admit that I was a little skeptical about the descriptions, comparing them to Zegna, Canali, etc. But I gotta tell ya', I own several garments by Zegna and Armani and these suits are as nice as any of them. I am absolutely 100% satisfied. I'm also looking for a couple more. I was wondering if you have a black or navy chalk stripe in a size 44L? If you have either (or both) of these items and plan on offering them any time soon, I'd sure like to know. If you can, get back to me on this. If not, I'll keep checking your site.

You told me that he was the only Italian designer that tailored his suits close to how American and British designer's do. Well, I had the suit tailored and it fit absolutely perfect! My Italian tailor guessed the suit cost in the neighborhood of $2000. (just like your advertisement stated). I'm trying to continue purchasing what I can from you. I took the slacks to my tailor to be altered and he asked where I got these great slacks. I told him there were part of a suit and he asked what I paid for the suit. When I told him he was shocked. He said the material and quality of the slacks could not be found on a suit costing so little. You have my business from now on and I have already sent your listing to friends.

I was extremely happy with my previous suit purchase, so I am a repeat customer. True story, on Tuesday night I was boarding a Delta flight out of Atlanta, and the flight attendant asked me to wait going down the aisle to allow another attendant to get back up front. In doing so she lightly held my arm, and commented on how nice it felt. She looked me up and down, and commented on how nice my suit was, as asked who the maker was. I told her, and pointed out that I shop for suits on line and about the Wizard of Ahhs. The only other time I receive such compliments is when I wear my Zegna suit. I'm hoping the Firado is similar in quality.
