What kind of paper do you use?
The2FunAdGuyz carefully match each image to one of three types of high quality paper stock. Each paper is selected for their particular advantages for the best possible presentation of the details and characteristics of that image. We are very Eco-friendly in our business so all of our papers are 100% recyclable. Every item description states in a section called "Paper Quality" exactly and clearly which paper type is used for that item. Those three types are glossy, parchment or cream and here is a more formal description.
GLOSSY: Most of our items come printed on the highest quality, white, acid-free, 100-pound weight glossy premium text paper that allows for maximum color brilliance and fidelity for older images. After years of research and experience, we have found the perfect paper stocks for our Laser Printed posters. This gloss makes the brilliant colors of the original lithographed or engraved image vibrant and brilliant. In fact, in spite of the increased cost to us, this paper is as much as 400% heavier that many of our competitors.
Parchment: Some old images look best when presented with a more aged, antique look. To give these items the softly aged appearance, The2FunAdGuyz select a quality, parchment-like, acid-free, 24-pound text paper that allows for maximum color brilliance for older images, ultimately providing a warm and natural presentation without the stiffness of cheaper parchment-like papers.
Cream: For a very limited, select number of images that need a softer tone, The2FunAdGuyz use a high quality, premium cream-colored, acid-free, 60-pound text paper. The smooth, level finish of this paper also allows for maximum color brilliance for older images, ultimately providing a warm and natural presentation that is perfect for the image and closer to the way the artist intended.
What printing method do you use?
First, our images are laser prints not Giclee--or ink jet prints. The word Giclee is an invented marketing term used to fog or obscure the fact that the image is printed on an ink jet printer, rather than the more expensive laser printer. The laser printer carefully uses heat to fuse the ink to the paper. The Giclee ink jet methods sprays the color on with a nozzle and no heat. The laser method produces an image that is more brilliant and dense that the cheaper Giclee method. While both laser printers and the ink used in them are much more expensive, the result is obviously superior. Doubt us? Simply Google "Giclee" and you will quickly learn for yourself that what we are saying is true.
