  FAQ - Payment

Q. How can I pay for an item I have purchased?
A. Upon the close of an auction you will be notified by eBay via e-mail that you are the
winning bidder. There is no need to contact TheFretStore to arrange payment. We will
automatically send you an e-mail within three hours of auction close. Our message will contain
a link to our simple and secure checkout where you will be able to quickly and conveniently
pay for your purchase with your credit card or Paypal account.

Q. How much time do I have to pay for an item?
A. You will have 72 hours from the close of the auction to pay for your item. You can expect
your "Invitation to Checkout" e-mail within three hours of the auction closing. Sorry, but after
72 hours, we will resell your item to the next interested buyer or relist the item unless you contact
us regarding your payment status, so please check your e-mail as soon as you can after the auction
closes.

Q. Do you accept payment with credit cards?
A. TheFretStore  accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, and American Express. We
offer a safe and secure online credit card payment processing option via PayPal.

Q. When is my credit card charged?
A. Your credit card is charged immediately upon completion of the checkout process.
Sophisticated systems are set up to immediately send your order to our shipping
department, for processing.

Q. Do you provide a printed receipt for my credit card payment?
A. Yes. If you are using PayPal, after the completion of our convenient checkout process,
you can print the order confirmation screen that will contain all pertinent credit card charge
information. TheFretStore also sends this same information to you automatically, via e-mail.

Q. What do you consider my billing address to be?
A. Your billing address is the same address information on file with your credit card
company. When entering this information during the checkout process it is important
that you enter the address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. If the
information is not accurate, your card may be declined. We can only ship to confirmed
billing addresses.

Q. What if my credit card is declined?
A. If there is a problem processing your card for any reason you will be notified
immediately during the checkout process. Depending on the nature of the problem you
may be prompted to try a different card or try again later.

Q. Do you charge sales tax?
A. By law we are required to collect sales tax for items shipped to addresses in Tennessee.
Currently, we collect 9.75% of the final auction price for those items shipped to
Tennessee. Customers outside of Tennessee are not charged Tennessee's sales tax.

Q. Is the information you collect secure?
A. We want our customers to feel secure when ordering merchandise over the Internet
and paying through our checkout service. We utilize a technology called Secure Socket
Layer (SSL), which creates a "secured" shopping mode to encrypt all sensitive information
before it is sent over the Internet.

Q. Do you accept international credit card payments?
A. No. International credit cards cannot be accepted at this time. However, we do
accept international PayPal payments.

Q. What is the additional shipping charge for?
A. On items where there is more than one item available, some bidders may wish to buy
more than one. For each additional item purchased, there will be an additional shipping and
handling charge. If you are only getting one item, you only need to pay the first shipping and
handling charge and not the additional.

Q. I purchased a few items from you during the same timeframe, can you ship them
together?

A. We will certainly do our best to accommodate this request, but sometimes we may not be
able to. We have multiple processing facilities and items may be shipped from different locations.

Q. How do you calculate shipping costs?
A. We use an average shipping cost based upon the weight of the item. This cost is
clearly listed in every posting we place on eBay. We also include handling costs and
insurance costs if applicable in the shipping charge.

Q. How long will it take for my item to reach me?
A. We usually ship within 2 business days of receiving your payment which means that your item
typically will reach you within 7 - 10 days. Please allow up to 14 days to receive your item.
 

Q. What do I do if my shipment never arrives?
A. Please allow up to 14 days for your item to be delivered. If it still has not
arrived, please contact us by emailing:  ebay @ fretstore.com
 

Q. Can I have an item delivered to a P.O. Box?
A. We can ship small items to P.O. Box addresses. For large items purchased, we
will send them UPS or FedEx Ground and will need your physical address.

Q. I live outside of the U.S. What about international shipping?
A. Shipping to addresses outside the contiguous 48 states can be expensive. If you are
willing to cover the cost for shipping, please email us before purchasing the item and we
can let you know how much this will be. Wewill need to know your exact shipping
address to determine the cost of shipping.
 

Q. Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses? Can I ship to American military personnel?
A. Yes, we are able to ship to APO or FPO addresses. We love American military and
appreciate your service.
 

Q. Can I have a package delivered without a signature required?
A. We ship all large packages such as guitars and amps with a signature requirement.  

Q. How do I have items shipped to a different address?
A. Due to potential fraud, we are only able to ship to confirmed billing addresses. Please
do not ask to have your items shipped elsewhere.
 

Q. What are your shipping options?
A. Items are shipped via Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, Airborne or USPS. Tracking numbers are not always
available. If they are available, they will automatically be sent to you via email upon shipment
by FretStore.com staff.

Q. I received my product damaged. What do I do?
A. We professionally package our products to ensure that they reach you in the best condition.
If your product is damaged, please save all packaging and email ebay @ fretstore.com
We will respond to your claim on the following business day to resolve the matter. If your
package has visible damage please inspect before accepting.

Q. Is my item teacher approved?
A. A larger majority of our instruments have been teacher approved. We strive to sell only the
best quality instruments.

Q. What watt amp do I need?
A.
The first thing you need to do is consider the instrument you will be playing and where you will
be playing it. Bass players require more watts than guitar players because lower frequencies require
more energy to be pushed out. Some suggestions for choosing your amp wattage:

  • Bedroom practice for a guitar =10w, bass = 15w
  • Garage practice for a guitar = 25w & up, bass = 60w & up
  • Cafe Style Gig for a guitar= 35w & up, bass = 85w & up
  • Bar Style Gig for a guitar = 50w & up, bass = 125w & up
  • Stage Style Gig for a guitar= 60w & up, bass = 250w & up
  • Q. How do I change resonator strings?
    A.
    The strings on a Resonator Guitar help hold the cone in place and prevent it from slipping.
    Adjusting all the strings at the same time will misplace the cone, which will cause a buzzing sound
    when played. When you do change your Resonator strings, it is best to only change one string at
    a time, paying particular attention to not upsetting the cone.

    Q. What is your return policy?
    A.At FretStore.com providing outstanding customer service is more than a policy it
    is our way of business.
    If you're not satisfied, neither are we. If for any reason you're not completely satisfied with your
    purchase, simply return it in its original condition within 45 days, and we'll give you a full refund.
    Just bring it back or ship to The Fret Store Retail location at 200 West Main Street,  Morristown,
    Tennessee along with your receipt, manual, blank warranty card, and all original packaging for
    exchange or refund. Please call us at 423-581-3280 for a return authorization prior to
    shipping products back to our store.

    Q. Does everything in the picture come with the auction?
    A. No. Only what is listed in the description.

    Q. Why can't I know what the reserve price is?
    A. The Reserve Auction is a great way to reduce time in the buying/selling process. In a
    Reserve Auction, the price that seller will take for the auction is set and undisclosed.
    When a buyer is interested, they bid an amount that either meets the Reserve price or
    they are informed that the amount they bid was insufficient.

    Q. What does "Exclusive Item" mean?
    A. This means we are the ONLY online dealer of this product on the entire internet. You will not find
    these products anywhere else on the internet.
