The Fret Store eBay Shipping and Returns Policy
45 DAY SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
At FretStore.com providing outstanding customer service is more than a policy it is our way of business. If you're not satisfied, neither are we. If for any reason you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return it in its original condition within 45 days, and we'll give you a full refund. Just bring it back or ship to The Fret Store along with your receipt, manual, blank warranty card, and all original packaging for exchange or refund (see restrictions below). Customer is responsible for return shipping, if applicable. If the original purchase included shipping paid for by The Fret Store and you no longer want the product, then we will issue a refund of the purchase price minus our actual shipping cost. Please call us at 423-581-3280 for a return authorization prior to shipping products back to our store.
Items are shipped via Fed Ex, UPS, Airborne or USPS. Tracking numbers are not always available. If they are available, they will automatically be sent to you via email upon shipment by FretStore.com staff.
Return Authorization Number (RMA): All returned items must include a Return Authorization Number (RMA), be in the original packaging complete with the warranty card and owner's manual, and show no signs of wear or abuse. Do not write on the original box, manual or warranty! Please allow 2 weeks for processing your return. You will need to ship the returned item back to us at our address below within 45 days of the end of the sale.
Restrictions:
Due to certain legal and health restrictions, computer software (copyright legislation mandates no returns on opened software), books, videos, CDs, harmonicas, internal earphones, earplugs, and microphones are exempt from the 45 day return policy. Computers, DJ cartridges and styli, fog fluid, cleaning products, vintage items, demo gear, opened strings, tubes and leased purchases are also exempt, as are any items special ordered from a manufacturer for a specific customer, traditional and ethnic wind instruments, harmonicas, raw-frame speakers, pickups that have been installed, drumheads and sticks, turntable cartridges, washed or worn clothing and footwear, body jewelry. Returned mouthpieces incur a $10 sterilization fee. Any other product exceptions will be noted on customer receipts at time of purchase. "All original packaging" includes cables, power adapters, manuals, blank warranty cards, etc., as well as the actual packaging.
Store Credit Only Merchandise: Microphones, Wireless products and Recording equipment, including Multi-Track and Mixdown, Hard Disk, DAT, CD, Tape Recorders Tape/CD Duplicators, Rackmount Signal Processors, Pro workstation keyboards, Fog machines and lighting effects. There will be a 15% restocking fee on open-box returns within the above product categories
Products that are defective may be exchanged for an identical product without the assessment of a restocking fee or receive store credit
Non-Returnable merchandise: Copy-protected material: Sheet Music, Books, Videos, Software, Sample Libraries, and CD-ROM's
Shipping Charges are NON-REFUNDABLE.
If you refuse a delivery:
If the carrier returns an item because it was refused or undeliverable, a 15% restocking fee will apply. If the item was shipped for free, outbound shipping fees (and tariffs and duties on international shipments) will also be charged back at the time of return. If there is a problem please let us know prior to our shipping the item to you.
Title: Risk of Loss During Shipping
Title to products passes from The Fret Store to you on shipment from our or our designee's facility. Loss or damage that occurs during shipping by a carrier is your responsibility. Title to any licensed intellectual property will remain with the applicable licensor(s).
Customer "pick up" is not available for some items. ALL ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP ARE CHARGED 9.75% Tennessee SALES TAX.
RETURNS WITHOUT AN AUTHORIZATION FOR RETURN NUMBER (ARN) WILL BE DENIED AND SENT BACK TO SHIPPER
Item color cannot be guaranteed in stock if payment is received after 10 business days from order date. Please note that some items we list on Ebay are also available for sale in our retail store and therefore may no longer be available if they are sold in our store just prior to the auction closing. We will make all attempts to delist these items as they are sold and reserve the right to cancel an auction prior to closing should a special one of a kind item sell first in our retail store.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Most items are covered by a 90 day, 1 year, or 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty. Some items may carry a limited lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty. The type of Warranty will be stated in the papers sent with the item if such warranty is available. This covers any defect in the manufacturing of your product.
To make a warranty claim for your item, please call for a Return Authorization for Service Number from our Product Repair and Service Department. 1.423-581-3280
If your product has a manufacturing defect and you wish to send it to us for service or repair covered by your warranty, you (the customer) will be responsible for the shipping costs to The Fret Store and return shipping must be pre-paid.
Your warranty does not cover any product that has been modified or misused in any way.
*Return Authorization number must be clearly visible on side where label is located.
*The item(s), package, interior packaging, paperwork, and any accessories, must be in resalable condition. Total assessment of restock fee will be at The Fret Store’s complete discretion.
SHIPPING DAMAGE
If you believe that your item has been damaged during shipping, please contact the shipping company which delivered your item. IMPORTANT - Any item received must be checked for shipping damage PRIOR to signing for a package. If a delivery is signed for and there is shipping damage visible from the outside a claim must be filed to the courier by the buyer (receiver) immediately and the original shipping box showing the damage kept along with all packaging. This is very important as it will be needed to demonstrate to the shipping carrier the item was damaged during shipment.
If package does not show shipping damage we will send a call tag and resend order as soon as damaged item is received and assessed. We will accept a return without authorization ONLY if package was refused at time of delivery. This must be done though the courier.
