ABOUT OUR HANDMADE STONEWARE PET DISHES:
Seller TheMontage (St. Louis, Missouri) partners with a Canadian potter and rescue volunteer to offer these unique high fired stoneware dishes on eBay. Each dish is made by hand and every dish is an individual - no two are alike! You may place a custom order with the potter for shipment from Canada or select a dish available for immediate purchase and shipment from St. Louis, Missouri.
Each good looking dish is raised (attached pedestal) and ensures that your pet will be comfortable while eating or drinking. This is especially important for older or arthritic pets that may find it painful to stoop to floor level. Pets can stand or sit closer to their dish and the raised bowl helps to keep the contents free of debris and ants. Your pet's vision is unobstructed while eating. These dishes are dishwasher and microwave safe, have a good weight and resist tipping or sliding. They are easy to pick up for washing and take up much less space than wood or metal raised feeders. The special scoop shape walls and turned in rims assist in keeping bowl contents contained and make it much easier for pets to pick up the food without pushing it over the side.
1. Overall Dish Height: Choose a dish for your cat or dog that allows the head to be in approximately the same position as when your pet is walking, not stooped over but more straight out in front. See the different height dishes below with a shorter and a taller cat.
2. Bowl shape, width and depth: Also, please do select the right shape, width and depth of bowl for your cat or dog. Just ask and we will be happy to recommend a dish for your cat or dog. We have bowls designed specifically for wet food, hard food, water, for flat faced pets, long eared dogs, food flickers or pushers, aggressive eaters, etc.
3. Dish Color: You have your choice of Almond, Honey Brown, Blue, Teal Green and Pink (custom orders).
4. Design. We offer a variety of simple designs for the inside of your dish bowl (see listings). For example, for cats the "cat face" design is popular and for dogs a popular choice is the "dog bone" design.
5. Personalization available. You may have your custom pet dish personalized with your pet's name for no additional cost.
6. New dish forms: We now have 2-piece dish sets with booster bases. The matching booster base stays on the floor and adds 3" to the height of a basic dish. This booster base gives added height without the extra weight to the dish. In response to customer requests, we are now carrying pedestal pottery dishes for large dogs with a maximum height of 25"
How long will it take to get your dish? Custom Orders: Normally, please expect it to take a good three weeks for the potter to make your cusom dish and get it to delivered to you. These dishes are individually hand made, painted, glazed and fired. Dishes Available for Immediate Purchase: We ship our dishes located in St. Louis, Missouri right away by USPS Priority Mail.
