Annie only carries passengers. She is always pulled by Thomas and travels facing him. Clarabel is a composite coach who carries both passengers and luggage. She prefers traveling backwards so she can see the beautiful island.
Arthur
When Arthur first came to the Island, he had never been in an accident. He was very careful and very proud of his spotless record. Arthur is a handsome engine, red with the letters LMS on his side.

Bertram the "Old Warrior"
Bertrum Bertram is a little old Engine who used to work at an abandoned mine near a forgotten castle. Toby once mistakingly thought Bertrum was a ghost. Bertram's nickname is "Old Warrior" because he is so brave. He now helps take visitors to see the castle and mine.

Bill and Ben
Bill and Ben Identical in every respect, it is fair to say that Ben and Bill are probably the most teasing and mischievous characters of the whole railway family. They wear big identical grins and work mostly between the clay pits of the Sodor China Clay Company and the harbour. Too long in their company and the senior engines are driven to distraction.
Boco
BoCo originally came to the island of Sodor on loan from British Rail, and stayed. After an initial run-in with Bill and Ben, BoCo quickly settled down and proved himself to be a decent diesel with a sense of humor. After all, anyone who can deal with Bill and Ben and maintain their equillibrium must have a remarkable personality.
Bulgy the Double Decker Bus
Bulgy is a bad tempered and miserable double decker bus. He has no scruples and when in a tight corner has been known to tell lies. He gets along very well with Diesel. Bulgy is currently in use as a hen house, but has hopes that one day someone might restore him.
Bulstrode the Barge
Bulstrode is an old, bad mannered, motorized sea going barge. He's only happy when he's chugging around with a full load; otherwise he's grumpy and rude. Percy and some Trucks, who were fed up with all his moaning, soon taught him a lesson and now Bulstrode is a "special Attraction" on a local Sodor beach.
Buster the Steamroller

Butch the Tow Truck

Byron the Bulldozer
Byron is a giant bulldozer capable of moving tons of dirt. His size, strength and skills are very impressive...and he knows it! He doesn't like to waste his talentx on jobs which he thinks are beneath him in importance.
Caroline the Car
Caroline has a placid nature, and does ot like being pushed along the road too fast. Delicate in engine construction, she prefers the gentleness of narrow country roads where she can only be driven at 20 m.p.h. She loves the occasional picnic where she's parked up for the duration.

However, Cranky enjoys teasing them because, he says, it makes for good working relationships - but don't ask Percy if he agrees!

Daisy
Daisy is a passenger diesel with long eye lashes and lots of attitude. She was built especially for service on Thomas' branch line. Daisy still believes, however, that she should only carry passengers and never pull trucks, although she will help out in an emergency.
Dennis

Derek the Diesel
Derek the Diesel looks the part, but he sadly suffers a lot from overheating and various other teething troubles. Diesel
Devious Diesel, the other engines call him behind his back and sometimes (when he's been more than ususally obnoxious) to his face. Oily, scheming and ever ready to stir up trouble in the shed, his characteristic smirk is a sure sign that somebody, somewhere, is in for a bit of trouble.

Duck - whose real name is Montague - is a cheerful, busy character. He's only a small tank engine, but coming as he does from the GWR, he'll stand no nonsense whatsoever from larger engines who try to order him about. Duck got his nickname because they say he "waddles" down the track.
Duke
The oldest of the narrow gauge engines and so the most experienced. Edward the Blue Engine

After his recovery from the bottom of the mountain, he was placed in the back of the shed and his parts were used to repair Culdee, Lord Harry, and Wilfred. Godred was named after a king, which probably explains his "high and mighty" attitude.
