- The Item for sale is for twenty five (5) Christmas Cards.
- Five (5) copies each of "Miss Holiday Cheer"
Time-Less-Image is proud to announce our first collection of Christmas cards. There are 5 cards in the series. Each card was painted by Rachel Cochrane and is beautifully presented on
Matte paper using original Epson Ultrachrome pigment inks
. The artwork was created digitally, using Corel Painter, the world's leading natural media painting application. Each piece was designed with digital tools to replicate the appearance and texture of oil pastels. Each greeting card includes an envelope.
The sending of greeting cards at Christmas began in the Victorian era. Though wood engravers produced prints with religious themes in the European Middle Ages, the first commercial Christmas and New Year's card is believed to have been designed and printed in London, England in 1843, the same year that Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol.

| Print Collage 8x10 inch Blue Hair Girl Capelli Grandi |
|
This piece, "Blue Hair Girl", was created by Rachel Cochrane and is part of her Capelli Grandi series.
"I want to stress the mixed media aspect of this work. I feel like I'm drawing my materials from a variety of sources.....a softness in character- like the that found in the works of Botticelli. The
texture and vivid colors found in Van Gogh. A modern, edgy, fashion vibe...from all my Vogue magazines. An eclectic mix of ideas and material. I like the fact that these works start out with a drawing...the basics. I feel committed to them in a way because I have the physical piece to work on outside of the computer. Then to complete the process, they're scanned in and further edited in photoshop and painter. I have used "curves" on every print...I love the sensitivity of the Photoshop editing...I'm moving back and forth between the programs, Photoshop and Painter, more and more."

| Original Romantic Greeting Cards (3) Valentine Eyes |
|
The items for sale are three (3) 5x7 inch greeting cards "Valentine Eyes".
The 17th century diarist, Samuel Pepys, recorded that lovers exchanged mementos like gloves, rings and sweetmeats on St. Valentine's Day. Shakespeare suggested "Sweets to the Sweet", in Hamlet.
In America, the pilgrims sent confections, such as sugar wafers, marzipan, sweetmeats and sugar plums, to their betrothed. Great value was placed on these gifts because they included what was then a rare commodity, sugar. After the late 1800's, beet sugar became widely used and more available, and sweet gifts continued to be valued and enjoyed.
As the candy-giving custom grew, American colonists made homemade candies with love notes scratched in the surface. By the mid-nineteenth century, candy-makes were preparing deliciously flavored sugar lozenges, pressed into hearts and imprinted with words of love -- the beginning of the modern-day conversation heart.
There are 4 cards in the Valentine series. Each card was painted by Rachel Cochrane and is beautifully presented on Matte paper. |

| Print 8x10 Carnevale Porcelain Mask Venice Italy |
The emblem of Carnevale was, literally, the mask, a term that could apply to the wearer as well as to the object, attesting to the depth of identification of individual with disguise. The masks of Carnevale derived most immediately from the masks worn on stage in the traditional commedia dell'arte and more distantly from masks worn in traditional societies, and shared with the latter certain basic characteristics thought to be universal to the practice of masking: simultaneously an act of simulation or mimicry and of disguise, masking could be alienating and transporting, intoxicating and liberating. |
