Q: The thread I am trying to repair has already had a HeliCoil fail. What can I do?
A: Big-Sert kits are designed to repair bolt holes that were previously repaired using other methods. Big-Sert inserts are larger and heavier than standard Time-Sert or HeliCoil inserts.
Q: What size thread repair kit do I need?
A: The thread kit should be the same size as the original thread. For example: if the stripped thread is M8 X 1.25, you will need an M8 X 1.25 thread repair kit.
Q: The photo shows a tap that is the same size as the bolt hole that I want to repair. Shouldn't the tap be a larger size?
A: The tap in the kit is an STI (Screw Thread Insert)tap. STI taps are larger than standard taps in order to provide room for the insert.
Q: Do you combine shipping?
A: Yes. U.S. Shipping is FREE for most items. On Canadian orders, the first (heaviest) item is full price and shipping for additional items is discounted by 50%. International shipping is combined by weight and all shipping prices are posted in each listing.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Items may be returned within 7 days of receipt at buyer's expense. Shipping is non-refundable. Items sent with free shipping will be refunded the invoice amount, less actual postage costs. All returns must be new, unused and in the original packaging with all instruction manuals included. Please e-mail for RMA #.

A: No, I'm sorry, I cannot do that. Doing so is prohibited by U.S. and International law.
