| ***HAND CRAFTING PROCESS***
All of our leather/suede products are HAND CRAFTED works of art, made with the highest quality standards. The following is a detailed, time consuming process from beginning to the end of these standards:
- The hides are inspected for defects and only the highest of quality are chosen.
- The hides are tanned for softness, skived (cut) to the appropriate thickness, dyed, and then dried. To insure the highest uniform quality this is done by machine. However, the feeding and stacking of the hides are done by human hands.
- Hides are then laid out and cut into patterns by hand; this is the same process a home seamstress would use.
- The cutting equipment is inspected on a regular basis to insure accuracy.
- The holes used for the lacing process are all hand punched.
- The detailed lacing is hand threaded through the hand punched holes.
- The intricate beadwork is also done by hand. The crafter follows a detailed pattern that was designed for added elegance to each piece.
- The pieces are then assembled. This is done by two different methods; lacing or stitching. The lacing process is done by hand. The stitching process, like the home seamstress, is done on machine.
- During the assembly process the pieces are inspected by a Quality Control Team.
- The pieces are then completed with the lining, any lacing, airbrushing, bone beading or other decorative accessories.
- The finished items are then again inspected by the Quality Control Team, to insure that the best possible product makes it to market.
- By the time that this item reaches the consumer it will have passed through as many as 50 different hands.
You can see by the complete process that the quality is above the industries standards. Check out our GREAT feedback for customer satisfaction and testimonials. |
