HOW TO KNOW THE RIGHT SIZE
FOR YOU
Hi there, Welcome to Trendy Garbs!! Many people have emailed me with questions
about sizing. Clothing sizes in the United States are different than those found
in most other countries. I thought I'd write a bit about how sizing runs in the
line of clothes I generally sell.
1.
MOST OF THE ITEMS I PURCHASE** ROXY,
HURLEY, VOLCOM, NOLLIE, O'NEILL, FOX GIRL, TILT, BILLABONG are usually JUNIOR
sizes. Generally, they run a bit narrower than women's sizes. (of course, many
women buy junior clothing , just check measurements!) All my women's clothing
purchased at PACSUN are junior sizes (odd numbers). Junior sizes run odd
numbers. 1,3,7,9,11,13,15. Women sizes runs even numbers 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16.
Roxy Hoodies run narrow because the young adult wants a tighter fit. As does
Volcom Hoodies. Billabong boardshorts run true to size. Billabong hoodies run a
bit narrow. The pullover Roxy snowboard line runs a bit wider. My ROXY surf and
snowboard clothing are women's sizes. (even numbers). Roxy also makes young
GIRLS and teenie wahine (toddlers) clothing which will be clearly marked on my
listings.
US letters in juniors are:
XS -1 SMALL -3,5 MEDIUM - 7,9 LARGE- 11,13 X-LARGE-15,17
2. Usually, all my items are listed as
women's in my titles because people generally search under women's and not
juniors.
3. I list all measurements in my listings.
For Bust measurements, I lay the garment flat and measure armpit to armpit.
Length is armpit down to hemline. Rise is From top of fly to crouch. Inseam is
crotch to bottom of pants. The best way to know if something fits, is to measure
something you own in the same way and compare.
4. ROXY BIKINIS , ROXY HOODIES, TYPICALLY
RUNS SMALL!!
5. GAP, OLD NAVY, NIKE Athletics apparel are
all women's sizes 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18
6. Roxy Bikinis are hard to judge because
everyone wears their bikinis differently. Some like a lot more bust showing than
others. So it is difficult for me to tell you if it will fit you. Just know in
general Roxy bikinis run on the small side. (I suggest buying a size larger).
Roxy Bandeau style tops tend to cover a bit more, for the bustier women.
7. PLEASE check all measurements before
bidding!! I do offer refunds if an item doesn't fit but it saves us all time and
money if you just check measurements first.
8. Any questions at all about sizing I will
be happy to answer in a timely fashion!!
9. Always check my measurements to be sure!
Sizes of clothing vary between manufacturers and even between different designs
by the same manufacturer. You should use charts for approximation only. With
