With the inception of the new feedback platform, sellers are graded on a 5 star ranking in 4 categories. Please be aware that I do my best to merit 5 star rankings in every category and hope you feel the same way when leaving your rankings for me.
Item as Described: The items I describe are accurate and the pictures show details than many sellers care not to add. I try to add detailed photos and descriptions but I do not catch 100% of everything. I never try to mislead and am 99.999% sure that everything I list is 100% accurate. I hope that you agree when you leave your feedback.
Communication: This is also important although not as much as some people may put a value on. It is hard to truly communicate to someone who buys a book, submits payment and then awaits its arrival and doesn't care to get junk email talking about the transaction. I am aware of this, however I also know that some people thrive on chatting with sellers, so I try to leave everyone at least a little note in the PayPal confirmation email that is sent to you when I ship out your package. If payment isn't recieved within a few days I also try to send a polite email reminder. I do appreciate your business and hope that i communicated in the quality products you purchase from me.
Shipping time: Please note that I always ship out items the same day they are paid for M-Sat. If an item is paid for from Sat evening through Sunday night, they are sent out on Monday. If for some reason I cannot send it out the same day, I always get it shipped out the next business day. I understand how frustrating it is to pay for something and then wait and wait for it to arrive. Please remember when leaving ratings for this that there is a bias against booksellers as we ship things via media mail in order to lower the shipping cost, but the shipping time goes up quite a bit. So please be patient, but understand that I always get things sent out ASAP, I do not sit on your payment for a couple of days and then send it out when it is convenient for me, but rather try to get it out to you ASAP!
Shipping & handling charges: I too get frustrated when a seller charges $5 or even upwards of $8.99 for a book when it only costs $3.11 or $3.65 for postage to mail it. I usually charge between $3.50 & $4.25 depending on the weight of the book. From time to time I have sales where I charge even less to ship the item than the postage costs. In that case I am simply giving back to the customers, but they don't always recognize that and they still leave low ratings in this area. Shipping charges included postage as well as other assorted costs such as packaging tape, boxes or padding, packaging peanuts, etc. I try to limit any handling charges as much as possible and charge as little over the actual postage as I can. I know you want the lowest price possible and I don't want to lose money, so we do what we can and move forward. There are several other costs that go into a shipping charge; however I barely break even when it comes to shipping. I know several other sellers who make a 100% profit on handling charges, but I avoid even bidding on auctions from those sellers.
