The Ford Torino was introduced in 1968, and like the Ford Mustang, it also used many of the same parts the Ford Fairlane did, and was considered a different series of it. This classic Torino quickly became a popular muscle car, and overtook the Fairlane's market, and set itself up to be a very recognizable classic muscle car.
The 1970 Ford Torino was the most popular year for the Torino. Not only were the interiors new on these classic Torino's but it came in a Super Cobra Jet package with Ram Air producing 375 horse power. The 1970 Ford Torino may be best known for the sport slats on the rear windshield, and this year Torino won the Motor Trend Car of the Year.
