Vermont
Cyber Cottage offers hands-on
training in the new WiFi-equipped classroom at Island
Industrial Park, Grand Isle, thanks to
ongoing support from the Northwest
Technical Center,
Islands Chamber, and a growing body of enthusiastic students! Weeknight
and Saturday classes teach computer and Internet basics, office
applications, digital photography, e-commerce and more. Programming is expanding in response to
community feedback; new topics include QuickBooks, Access, Vista,
ergonomics, and low-cost tools for accessibility and marketing (including cyber
sales for artists!). Our evolving
curriculum aims to cultivate job seekers’ employability, a PC-proficient
workforce, net-savvy start-ups, and cost-effective computing to conserve
resources in this challenging economy.
Need
financing? Call for free help! VSAC grants fund classes for the
income-eligible, while the Vermont Training Program covers up to 50% of tuition
for some in the heath care, IT, environmental and manufacturing sectors. A no-cost payment plan is also
available. We can assemble a
discounted course from our current class list to meet individual needs, or
create custom group training programs for on-site delivery.
Our state-of-the-art mobile classroom features a color projector, fast DSL Internet and
WiFi, so BYOL (bring your own laptop) or use an ergonomic workstation to
quickly access Web resources, gain computer knowledge and practice in
comfort. Interactive three-hour
sessions promote collaborative learning and skill building; a small class size
ensures you receive one-on-one help from a patient instructor.

Course Discounts: The cost for a single-session class is $72, & the cost/session decreases in proportion to the number of sessions you take in a semester. Four modular courses (above) are available
at a significant discount (up to 25% off & as low as $54 per session; call for pricing details). Each course includes a series of
the above classes & may be tailored (via substitutions &/or additions)
to suit your needs.
Custom Training: A custom curriculum can be designed to support your
project or organizational goals, at our site ($90/1.5
hours) or yours ($120/1.5 hours). Our
mobile lab provides four wireless workstations & a color projector.
