Almost Perfect; absolutely minimal aging

VERY FINE

 

Exceptionally appealing, close to perfect; minimal signs of handling. Discrete crease or tiny tear may be present but should be noted.

 

 

Q7

 

FINE

 

Nicely Preserved. Allowed one minor but noticeable flaw. Minor yellowing or tanning is permitted around the edges is permitted. No paper loss is allowed

 

 

Q6

 

VERY GOOD- EXCELLENT

 

Begins showing signs of wear, handling or aging. Items at this level are slightly above average. Two to three minor flaws. Moderate Yellowing or tanning is acceptable. Minor tears or rough edges may be present.

 

 

Q5

 

AVERAGE /

VERY GOOD

 

Shows significant signs of use or wear. Pervasive yellowing or tanning. Some discoloration, fading, soiling is common. Small areas of moisture wrinkling is OK but must be noted.

 

  Q4

GOOD

 

Below Average. Substantial flaws with serious signs of wear. Significant signs of handling and aging. Normally in this condition the item is noticeably creased, scuffed, soiled or stained. Signs of damage but basic structural integrity still intact.

 

 

Q3

 

FAIR

 

Severely reduced eye appeal, possibly unattractive. Heavily worn & flawed yet complete. Pervasive soiling, creasing, folds & tears are prevalent at this level. Usually still in readable condition.

 

 

Q2

POOR- FAIR

 

Very Ragged. Large tears, holes and stains can be expected. Item can be missing large pieces and be incomplete. Excessive wear, aging and brittleness.  

 

 

Q1

POOR

 

Lowest grade possible. Generally undesirable unless very rare. Exhibits many of the undesirable attributes noted in Q2 and Q3 except in far worse condition.
