On Sept. 22, Ebay will be implimenting a new "policy" on USPS shipping insurance in which sellers will no longer be allowed to offer it as an "optional" service with shipping charges.
Due to this policy, the following changes will be taking effect:
A charge of $1.75* (*or the current USPS insurance rate for merchandise up to $50) will be added to the handling charges for the following types of purchases:
- Any purchase totalling $25.00 or more
- Any purchase of a breakable or extremely fragile item
- Any JEWELRY purchase totalling $15 or more
NOTE: This covers your total purchase (up to $50), provided all items are paid for on the SAME invoice.
I sincerely apologize for this, but sellers are being left with little recourse or choice in this matter.
HOWEVER...what I am in the process of doing is lowering s/h charges wherever possible to help keep things more reasonable across the board. Please bear with me, as this is a time consuming process.
