Robyn Smiley, a native of Dayton, Ohio, spent many years soaking up the jazz & blues sounds of the historic French Quarter, located in New Orleans, Louisiana. In fact she performed many years as a street musician until Roger Revlon, creator of the record lable "WAGGLETONE" & operator of store Play it Again Records,  heard her lovely voice and noticed star quality! Roger decided to make a career out of promoting her talent and finding venues for her to perform her amazing storytelling songs. Robyn had her first song published in 1975 and she has been writing for the past 35 years. She holds 15 copyrights and had her first song published when she was 14 years old. She plays 12 string acoustic guitar and sings with a powerful ballsy voice as well as a soothing one with alot of emotional feeling. Robyn has played in London U.K., and has had the honor of opening for Bo Diddley, Wayne Toups, Roger McGuinn, Irma Thomas and many others. She hosts an open mike night at CAPO'S in Dayton, Ohio, every Monday night. She performs her own originals such as "MISSISSIPPI BELLE" and "DOWN IN LOUISIANA", as well as old country, folk and soft rock favorites written by other talented songwriters. Her influences through-out the years have been strong female voices such as Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Ann Wilson and Melissa Ethridge. She adores great songwriters such as Dan Fogelberg, Carole King and John Denver. Recently Robyn traveled to Burke County North Carolina to perform in Morganton, at Parkside Grill, located in the center of town.
