Who is this "Larry" who is mrljdeg and owner of WallyWorld Emporium?
Several years ago, this ode was attached to my office door at the community college where I taught English full-time--before retiring, and this was a description of "Mr. D" ("Larry") from one of my students, in his poem entitled "Ode to Mr. D":
"How do we love he? Let me count the ways./ We love he like the fat kid loves cake./ In spite of the horrible grades we may make./ We love he like a fish loves the water;/ He treats us like his own son or daughter./ Though he sends us to bed with no dinner,/ We love he like the devil loves a sinner./ Oh, Mr. D, this is our ode to thee,/ I would say more, but I have got to pee."
So, that was me full-time; and eBay, mrljdeg, and WallyWorld Emporium was me part-time. Now retired and full-time at WallyWorld Emporium, I still consider this a hobby career: It's a HOBBY because it is FUN, and it's a CAREER too in the sense that I treat EVERY TRANSACTION as a FULL-TIME job, offering personalized, prompt, friendly service.
