What does UNLOCKED mean?
Unlocked GSM phones are wireless phones which are not subsidized or locked by any service provider. This means that the phone will work with any GSM network in the world that carries the frequencies specified for the particular phone. With an unlocked phone you are not restricted to use it with any specific carrier. However, unlocked phones do not guarantee that network features such us email, internet browser, etc. will work for you.


Do I need to buy service contract to buy a phone from this store?

No, the price of wireless phones at Wireless Experts reflects the cost of the phone only. Service contracts are not required to purchase equipment from us.  Wireless Experts does not sell phones with service; our phones are unlocked and will support service from multiple carriers. This means that the phone will work with any GSM network in the world that carries the band/frequencies specified for a particular phone. If you already have a GSM phone with service, you will need to remove your SIM card (small 2X1 inch chip that is located in the back of the phone) and insert it into to the new phone. The new phone will be ready to make and receive calls immediately.


How would I know if this works in my area?
Unlocked and unbranded means that you can use it with any GSM SIM card. If, in your area you are able to use the 1900MHz band with Cingular then you would have no problems using this phone. The best thing to do is call your service provider and ask if they support the bandwidth of the phone you are interested in purchasing from us.

I see phones with 850/1800/1900Mhz and 900/1800/1900Mhz. What is the difference?
There are two major types of tri-band GSM phones: European and American.

European tri-band phones support the 900, 1800, and 1900 frequency bands. They provide complete coverage in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and work on at least one network in most countries in the Americas.

American tri-band phones support the 800/850, 1800, and 1900 frequency bands. They provide complete coverage in the Americas, and will work on at least one network in most countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

A GSM phone that supports the four major GSM frequency bands: 850/900/1800/1900 will therefore work in any part of the world.

Does this phone work in the United States? If so what companies offer service for this phone?
Bandwidths (networks) of the phone are specified in every listing. Please check with your service provider for the bandwidth being used in your area and make your purchase accordingly.  Non-GSM phones also known as CDMA phones are locked on to the Verizon network.  Verizon phones do not require SIM cards. 


Can I use all the network features on these phones such as: the web browser, eMail, T-zones, M-mode, etc.?
Wireless Experts guarantees the voice feature of the phone to work 100% with support. Wireless Experts is not responsible for the settings of the phones' browser, Email, MMS, SMS, GPRS, WAP, Picture messages or any other network related setup other than the voice feature. If you setup the phone properly, you will have all the features working on the phone. For additional setup instructions please contact your current phone service provider or email us for support.

What is a SIM card?
It stands for "Subscriber Identity Module"

A small, stamp-size "smart card" used in a GSM phone.

The SIM card contains a microchip that stores data that identifies the user to the carrier. The data is also used to encrypt voice and data transmissions, making it nearly impossible to listen in on calls.

The SIM can also store phone book information - phone numbers and associated names.

The SIM, typically located under the battery, can easily be removed and placed in another phone. This will cause the new phone to instantly operate using the subscriber's existing phone number and account.

What does GPRS mean?
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is an enhancement to existing GSM and TDMA networks that introduces packet data transmission, enabling "always on" mobility. This means that users can choose to be permanently logged on to e-mail, Internet access and other services, but do not have to pay for these services unless sending or receiving information. When EDGE is added to GPRS, these data rates will increase up to 384kbit/s.


What does Bluetooth means?
Bluetooth™ is an open standard for two-way, short-wave radio communications between different devices. It marks the end of cables and cords between mobile phones, palmtops, portable PCs and printers, for example. Furthermore, Bluetooth™ enables information between such devices to be synchronized. Diary information held on a PDA can be updated automatically when within range of a Bluetooth™-enabled PC. Bluetooth™ is also going to be important for machine-to-machine communications - one of the largest growth areas in telecommunications.

What type of payment methods do you accept?
We only accept PayPal payments through eBay or mailed USPS money orders. As long as you have a confirmed PayPal address in the United States to ship to and a non-negative feedback rating on eBay, just go to our eBay store, select the phone you desire then click on the "Buy it now" button and just follow the simple instructions.  To pay by USPS Money Order, you dont need to go through eBay, just email us.

Will I be charged sales tax?
We will only charge sales tax if the shipment is being sent to California Address. All the other states will not be charged tax. 
 
What if the item I am looking for is not listed or no longer available?
We receive our shipments frequently. Please check back with us in few days.
  

  Order Status Inquiries


How can I check on the status of my order?
You will be sent an automatically generated message with a shipment tracking number when your package departs our warehouse.

How do I get my tracking number?
You should receive a tracking number via email after we have processed your order. If you don't receive an email with your tracking number, please check your email address registered to both your PayPal AND eBay accounts or you are also welcome to email us.

What if there is no tracking information with the shipping courier?
If your shipment was shipped out via Fedex, you will be given a tracking number.  Fedex updates their website frequently.  If delivery was attempted you will get the date and time of attempted delivery. Please allow a couple more days for the information and delivery status. 

Can I adjust/modify my order?
Unfortunately not.  Once your order is placed, your shipping label will be printed shortly afterwards.  Any order modifications will complicate and further delay your order, especially if your order is being drop-shipped from another warehouse of ours.

Do you offer shipping discounts on multiple item orders?
Yes, our listings are setup to automatically discount the shipping cost on multiple items of the same item number.

Do you ship internationally?
No, unfortunately we DO NOT ship outside of the United States.

Do you ship to APO/FPO/PO Box addresses?
Due to lack of delivery confirmation, we are unable to ship to APO/FPO addresses. We ship to US PO Box addresses as long as it is a confirmed Paypal address.

Can I choose my shipping methods?
We use a Standard Flat-Rate Shipping Service.  We ship out using Fedex Express for quick transit times.  Please allow about an average of 2-3 business days to arrive anywhere in the United States.  Please allow up to 2-3 business days for the fulfillment of your order prior to the shipment.

Do you ship to a different addresses other than my billing address?
No, we will only ship to your CONFIRMED Paypal address at the time of purchase (NO EXCEPTIONS).

I bought the phone today, when will you ship my order?
From the time you purchase your package, please allow at least 2-3 business days to ship your order to you.

When can I expect to receive my order?
Under typical circumstances, you should expect to receive your order within 3-5 business days.  If not received within 7 days from the day your package was shipped (not from the day you purchased it), please email us and we will be happy to provide you with an updated status.

What if I missed my delivery?
Please contact the shipping carrier with your tracking number and they will be able to arrange for re-delivery.  You can contact Fedex at 1-800-463-3339

What are your expedited shipping costs?
If you would prefer faster shipping, we charge $18 more for Next Day delivery. You may send money to mywirelessexpert@aol.com.  We need to receive this payment before 2pm for prompt delivery. Please call us once you make the payment to confirm the expedited shipping method.

Note: Overnight deliveries falling on a weekend will be processed the following Monday.


Can I pick up my order?
Sorry but we do not have a retail location, therefore we do not allow any pickups.

Can you use my carrier’s account number to ship my item to me?
Sorry but under no circumstances we will use your account number to ship. All shipment charges must be prepaid.

Do you combine orders?
Different items can only be sent as separate shipments unless you email us beforehand to set it up.

How do I track my order?
Shortly after your order is placed and paid for, you will receive an email from donotreply@fedex.com with your tracking number and other important information.  Please be patient as it may take anywhere from 6-48 hours to receive your tracking information from Fedex.  Please allow additional time during holiday season due to the higher volume of orders.  We will do our best to have your package shipped to you right away.

Why is it that when I track my order using Fedex.com, all I see is "Package data transmitted to Fedex"?
Please be advised that on random shipments, it may take up to a day for your shipment information to be updated with Fedex.  There may be other factors which create a possible delay as well.  However, please rest assured that everything is alright and your order is on the way!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at mywirelessexpert@aol.com.

  Returns/Exchange Inquiries


What is your return policy?
    
• We provide a 7 day warranty from the date of receipt. All warranty is by the manufacturer of the product. No warranty is expressed or implied for used, refurbished, as-is or any other NON-new condition products. Please contact the manufacturer if it has been more than 7 days.
• DOA- Dead on arrival implies that the product either cannot be turned on or is unusable after being taken out of the box. Buyer must report this to Wireless Experts within 24 hours upon the item is delivered.
• A return merchandise authorization (RMA) is mandatory and the buyer must request it through email or fax before shipping back a defective item.
• Physical or water damaged merchandise is absolutely not covered by warranty.
• If the customer returns an item(s) that doesn’t comply with the company’s policy, the buyer will have to pre-pay for the return freight.
• Wireless Experts has the right to make the final decision whether a replacement or a repair process should be issued under any and all circumstances.

Please make sure to return the package with a courier using a tracking number. (UPS, FedEx, USPS with delivery confirmation, etc.) We will not be responsible for any returns not received and failure to provide us with tracking number.

All RMA instructions will be provided to you once you contact us.

What if my products are damaged?
If the package you received is damaged, please email us within 24 hours of receiving the item.

What if there is a missing item on my order?
Please notify us within 24 hours of receiving the order via email immediately with the Item number, Paypal Account name, eBay userid and date of purchase.

What if I received a wrong product?
Please notify us via email immediately with the Item number, Paypal Account name and date of purchase.

What if I want to exchange my order?
We will gladly exchange your order as long as the item you have received is unopened/unused in its original condition. Please send us a request for RMA form. The original shipping/handling & insurance will not be refunded and under other circumstances, an additional 20% restocking fee will be applied.

What if I never received my order?

Please notify us via email immediately and do not leave us a negative feedback.  We will process an insurance claim for you and resolve the problem in a timely manner.
