Lost Wax Casting Method 

A "Lost ART" An Old World method of jewelry making bringing out the best of the detail and why each and every piece is different. Even the statues in the Vatican and Washington DC including the Statue of Liberty are from the Lost Wax method.

As you can see these are not the usual "Cookie Cutter" hollow stamped out machine manufactured pieces. They are 100% handmade from beginning to end. Beginning Process

Chasing the Wax Pattern

After the pattern has been pulled from the mold it is hand chased (redetailed). Although the artist reproduces the original artwork, each piece is slightly different from the next. This is where detail is enhanced to the fullest.

And chasing by different artists makes each piece even more "One of a Kind".  Where all the patience of the artist is challenged. Where the complete full detail is obtained. It is the exact replica. Making any imperfection forever a part of the finished piece. Working in the wax is the true inspiration of the finished piece. Where true artists are revealed and leaving no margin for error.

Spruing

Wax rods are placed in just the right places assuring a full pour. An "Investment Casting" is formed around the wax pattern and placed in a kiln.

Burn Out

The wax is melted (Lost) from the cast. This creates a hollow shell mold. Thus called "Lost Wax".

And the really good part is yet to come. This is where the process reveals how it comes about. You don't want to miss the ending. It's like a good book there's a beginning and an end. And often times as is this......the mystery remains until  "THE END"
