Soon, you couldn't park the car in the garage and you couldn't get into your own closet.

You knew the stuff had to go, but by now Disposophobia has set in. The dreaded fear of getting rid of stuff.

Spiffing Up Your Items Will Make You More Money

• Decide what you want to sell
• Please clean any items that you are wanting to sell.

Freshly-cleaned and or items that have been groomed will appeal to the shopper causing the shopper to want the item more readily.

Think of yourself standing in a department store looking at two same exact items. Which would you choose?

One dusty and dirty and just thrown on the shelf or the one cleaned and polished and neatly arranged on the shelf?

The value of a cared-for item will reflect the extra effort you put into it.

Shoppers gravitate to clean and polished goods and they bypass dust, grime, tarnish and fading.

• I don't have a problem with needing a light dusting, that is not an issue. Being in storage for 20 years in a box with dirt and spiders and you hand it to me is an issue.
• If clothing, please wash or dry clean item.

A few minutes with an iron or a bit of cleaner will make your things much more appealing to the buyer. Make sure it's ready to sell.

• How about checking to see if buttons are secure?
• Fasteners in working order?
• Seams still sturdy?
• Use a good light to examine for stains, discoloration, or fading.

Hang clothing on hangers so they won't be mussed when they arrive. Breakables and delicate items should be wrapped to prevent transit and handling damage.

Presentation is the key. Whether you are using Double Eagle, another Consignment Shop, or taking things to a buy-outright shop. The shopkeeper, the store itself, in a sense, is a shopper of your goods.

• If you need help or you prefer to not clean item, Double Eagle will clean your items for an extra 10%.
• The same for dry cleaning. If item needs dry cleaning, and you prefer for us to handle that, we can. Your dry cleaning receipt will be included with your invoice and deducted from your total.
• Help us to help you by grouping all sets together.

Gather any information that might go with item, original box, original paperwork.

• If there is not any information, write down (print) what you know about item.
• What is the item?
• Any story that goes with item.
• How old is item?
• The brand of item?
• What you paid for item and what is the "very" least you would take for item.

If the tedious job of writing down the info is too much, for a small fee, Double Eagle will arrange a time that is convient for you, and do this for you.

Decide if you want to Drop Off or have items Picked Up.

If items do not sell right away, you may store items in store so shoppers can view items for sell 24/7 (24 Hours - 7 Days a week) for a small fee.

Sure beats locking your items away in storage where No One Can See Them!
