At 4:53 PM Tuesday, January 12th, 2010, a catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Haiti. The International Red Cross has estimated some three million people were affected by the quake. The confirmed death toll has exceeded 150,000. Though the worst may be behind Haiti, there is still a great need for support, as efforts now must focus on recovery and reconstruction.
