We endeavor to bring you the best possible service at the best possible price. As we are all painfully aware, high fuel costs have caused the cost of postage to skyrocket in recent months. Some of you have commented that our shipping charges look high. Please understand that we do not make any money on shipping costs. We ship UPS in the States for two reasons 1) We have found them to be more reliable and take better care and offer better tracking services than the post office and 2) They pick up at our store location 2x's per day. If we ship USPS, we have to pay an employee for their time & gas to drive to the post office and wait in line. If you request USPS shipping, a $10 surcharge will be added to your order to cover the aforementioned.
UPS's CHEAPEST rate is $7.95 to deliver a package (ANY package, regardless of how light it may be) to ANY destination, (even if it's in our state). Often, you will see shipping charges in our auctions of only $6.95 for lighter, smaller items. We eat the extra $1 to help soften the blow. Also, the padded envelopes/packaging we use for even the smallest items usually cost around $1. So please understand that we LOSE money on shipping. We do not profit. Even so, we frequently offer combined shipping or FREE shipping for small items when purchased in conjunction with any other item from our eBay auctions, eBay store, or our website, eurosaddlery.
