Shipping for Non-Furniture Items (Contiguous US)

We take great care in packing and shipping your purchases. Please keep in mind that packing fragile and irreplaceable vintage and antique items is not a quick or cheap endeavor. Proper packaging is expensive and bulky and takes a great deal of time to do the job correctly. Most packages will be sent through UPS or FedEx, however Greyhound is often more economical for larger and heavier items. United States Postal Service Priority International will be used for international shipments.

Because most of the items at EuroLux Antiques are irreplaceable, we insure ALL shipped orders. Insurance is required on all packages sent by EuroLux Antiques.

In the unlikely event that damage is evident upon receipt of an order left at your door, please keep all packing material and report the damage to us immediately so that we can make a claim against the insurance policy. Digital photos from as many angles as possible are encouraged as evidentiary documentation of the condition of the package and item upon receipt. We reserve the right to request the return of damaged items.

If the delivery driver is present, you have the right to inspect any package you receive, particularly if the exterior of the package appears not to be in good condition. We encourage you to inspect a seemingly damaged package prior to signing for its receipt as additional protection for the Buyer in the event of loss. If you refuse the shipment due to obvious damage, we encourage Buyer to take digital photos from as many angles as possible. If you receive the package in a damaged condition and the driver is present, you have the right to refuse receipt and send it back to us at the carrier’s expense. In order for the carrier to ship the package back to EuroLux Antiques free of charge, Buyer must have the driver sign off that the package was damaged or mistreated in transit. Please follow these guidelines carefully in case you need to file a claim or refuse a shipment. If you have any questions about signing off for a shipment from us, please call us at 803-276-4001.

EUROLUX ANTIQUES MUST BE NOTIFIED OF CLAIMS IN WRITING WITH PICTURES AND DETAILS WITHIN 7 DAYS OF DELIVERY. EMAIL IS ACCEPTABLE FOR THESE PURPOSES.

In the event that Greyhound is used as the carrier, the Buyer understands that the item must be picked up at the nearest Greyhound terminal. We will inform you of that location prior to shipping the item.

Depending on the shipping method, most items should be received with ten days of full payment. Greyhound shipments can take as long as 2 to 3 weeks. We are always glad to answer your questions or provide you with tracking numbers. We are a small, family-owned business and our aim is to get your purchase to you as quickly as possible, as safely as possible. Delays occasionally can occur due to not having the correct packaging material on hand or missing our regularly scheduled packaging pickup or drop off. We ask your consideration in matters such as these, and we try to communicate with you when delays push delivery out longer than our customers should normally anticipate. We value your inquiries should you have any questions or concerns at any time during our shipping process.

EuroLux Antiques thoroughly inspects each item before it is released to the carrier. Our responsibility is limited to making sure the item is in the advertised condition at the time the carrier takes possession of the item. EuroLux Antiques will not be held responsible for damages occurring in-transit or during delivery and set-up. Insurance will be secured with the carrier on the customer's behalf. While we are happy to assist our customers in filing claims, we are in no way affiliated with the carriers and bear no responsibility or influence over the final determination of the claim. Per federal interstate commerce law, the carriers maintain the right to repair pieces damaged in transit. The carrier's decision regarding method, manner, and timing of repair is final. Should the customer refuse the shipment after repair, EuroLux Antiques will deem refusal of delivery acceptance to be a return and will be handled in strict accordance with our Return Policy. Customers are responsible for reading this Return Policy before purchasing from EuroLux Antiques. We encourage the Buyer to thoroughly inspect each item upon receipt and notify the delivery personnel of any damage found.

Shipping, handling and insurance charges are based on the weight and size of the individual piece, the distance to be shipped, and the value of the purchase. EuroLux Antiques strictly reserves the sole right to determine when and if shipments can be combined due to excess size, weight or fragility which makes it unwise or uneconominal to combine shipping. All shipping, handling and insurance charges are at the customer’s expense and are stated in the description. If no shipping amount is stated in the description, please contact EuroLux Antiques for a quote. If you have any questions about shipping, please call 803-276-4001 or email info@EuroLuxAntiques.com

Shipping for Furniture (Contiguous US)

We ship your larger furniture purchases by working only with reputable blanket-wrap shipping companies that specialize in handling antiques to pack and ship your order within the contiguous United States. Most items will be delivered within 3 to 6 weeks of full payment, but can take as long as 8 weeks. The delay is due to using consolidated shipping services to provide the Buyer with the most economical method of transportation available. If you cannot wait this long to receive your item, please do not bid or contact us to arrange expedited shipping. Of course, expedited shipping will be a considerably higher cost that consolidated shipping. We cannot guarantee delivery dates once we have given the item over to the carrier, as the item is no longer in our control.

EuroLux Antiques ships smaller pieces of furniture, such as nightstands, chest of drawers, and sets of chairs, by Greyhound. In the event that Greyhound is used as the carrier, the Buyer understands that the item must be picked up at the nearest Greyhound terminal. We will inform you of that location prior to shipping the item.

Greyhound shipments can take as long as 2 to 3 weeks for delivery after full payment. We are always glad to answer your questions or provide you with tracking numbers.

In most cases larger pieces of furniture such as buffets and armoires can be disassembled to make transportation easier. Our carriers will deliver the piece(s) into your home, will assemble the pieces for you, and will remove all packing materials. If you prefer to assemble pieces yourself, we’re happy to help walk you through the process over the phone.
