Fabric Warehouse was started in Auburn Maine about 50 years ago. It was originally called Sharlaine's and legend has it that "they sold everything." In the mid 1990's the owner changed the focus of the business and the name to Fabric Warehouse, but true old school folks from Maine still call us Sharlaine's.
Currently the Fabric Warehouse is owned by two brothers Chris & Tim Riley. The brothers purchased the store on Halloween of 2014 and have spent the last few years increasing the product offerings and increasing the web presence.
If you visit our store you need to know what to expect. We are a warehouse with millions of yards of fabric, foam, tools, supplies and more. Our store is not fancy and neither are we. We spend our profits on our children and buying more fabric to keep the re-budding business alive.
We are happy to take phone orders or just help you with a project.

Contacted seller 2 days ago to cancel order that had not yet shipped. No response received and they shipped out today. Not quick to ship, and not great customer service. If they had divulged more details in description of fabric, I wouldn’t have purchased to begin with. Pretty disappointing, all the way around.
