As of February 20, 2008, eBay has required a Buy-it-Now of no less than a $1.00. After reviewing this policy thoroughly, in response, I decided on new store listings to offer a "Buy-it-Now" of $1.00, and then a "Best Offer" with an amount equal to the amount that I was normally asking for similar store inventory listings. eBay has been allowing these listings as such since Feb. 20, however I found out April 13th that my best offer amount is not being accepted from buyer's with a response by eBay to enter an amount of a $1.00 or more.
After 45 minutes with eBay's live help, they could not provide me with any listing policy saying the "Best Offer" amount could not be less than a $1.00. Their response was they are working on their policy pages(although they have had well over 2 months to do so and should have been in place before this $1.00 BIN-Best Offer policy change and honestly, how long should that really take), they are having issues with it putting up the "best offer" on listings with a $1.00 Buy-it-Now, and as a fix for my listings to make up the difference out of my S&H costs(so eBay can collect additional final value fees on my S&H costs). So, if you want to purchase any of my store inventory cards that have the "Buy-it-Now or Best Offer" $1.00 listing, please contact me when buying, so I can adjust the S&H on these cards accordingly. And I can only do so down to $0.00 S&H--again a policy eBay will not allow you to have a negative S&H amount including seller discounts.
But please, contact eBay and tell them to remove this $1.00 BIN stipulation from their "new" 2008 policies. There is no reason to have this bogus stipulation. If you still wish to be able to pick out individual cards(or other items) for less than a $1.00 in any eBay store and not have to buy a "lot" of cards or items just to get the one you do want, then please complain to eBay like I have. eBay is not listening to their sellers, not following it's own policies as provided to us sellers--maybe they will listen to their buyers. Please feel free to make a comment to eBay's live help(or email customer support), found on the upper right hand corner of the eBay home page--Sorry!!
