Terms of Sale
Set forth below are the terms of sale for products purchased from HP through the HP eBay store. The terms consist of the terms on this page and the
HP Warranty Agreement.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Products purchased from HP through the HP eBay store are classified as Refurbished or Excess New Products. Different return policies and limited warranty policies apply to these different classifications. Products classified as Excess New carry the same duration as Original Manufacturer's Limited Warranty. The limited warranty for Products classified as Refurbished varies by product: refurbished products from the HP Home & Home Office collection carry a 90-day limited warranty; refurbished products from the HP Small & Medium Business collection carry a one-year limited warranty. Products purchased from HP through the HP eBay store in factory-sealed boxes are considered Refurbished unless otherwise noted.
Prices, taxes, fees
We aim to provide our customers with competitive prices on the products we offer. Prior to submitting your order you will have the opportunity to review product prices and any applicable sales tax, shipping, and handling charges. Prices are exclusive of, and Customer shall pay, all taxes, duties, levies or fees, or other similar charges imposed on HP or on the Customer by any taxing authority (other than taxes imposed on HP's income) related to Customer's order.
If you feel your order should be tax exempt you must provide a valid tax exempted certificate other than a resale certificate at the time you place the order.
For orders shipped to California, effective January 1, 2005, we are required to collect a recycling fee on qualifying products.
Promptly notify a HP eBay store representative at 1-877-471-9656 should you believe your order has a pricing error.
Personal Use
Products and support acquired by Customer under these Terms are solely for Customer's personal use and not for immediate resale or sub-licensing.
Payments
Payment is via Paypal only. This is the quickest and easiest way to pay.
Order acceptance and cancellation
The HP eBay store reserves the right to decline or cancel orders at any time. Notification is via email to the email address you provided when submitting your order. We assume no responsibility for issues resulting from such declines, cancellations, or email notification failure. Order costs will be charged to your account upon acceptance.
The HP eBay store begins processing accepted orders immediately and is therefore unable to accept order cancellation requests once you have received an order confirmation. If an order is processed in error, contact a HP eBay store representative immediately at 1-877-471-9656 for instructions.
Shipping
The HP eBay store ships merchandise to street addresses within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

For your protection, a signature is required for most deliveries. We do not allow address changes after an order has been accepted. You may not export any products purchased at the HP eBay store.
Global Trade Restriction Notice
Customer understands and acknowledges that HP products are subject to US and other national export and import regulations and certifies that he/she is not a citizen, party of a country which are subject to certain trade control embargoes, sanctions, prohibition and restriction, to include all countries identified in country groups D:1, E:1 and E:2, as identified in Supplement No. 1 to Part 740 of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations, see http://www.access.gpo.gov/bis/ear/pdf/740spir.pdf, without having first obtained required government authorization. HP may suspend performance if Customer is in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
Returns & Exchanges
Subject to the following requirements, the HP eBay store will accept returns and exchanges up to 10 days after delivery for most products. Some exceptions apply. See product offer for return eligibility. To return or exchange product(s), you must call a HP eBay store representative at 1-877-471-9656 to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. You must, at your expense, ship the returned or exchanged product(s) to HP in their original packaging, and if shipped, you must insure the shipment or assume the risk of loss or damage during shipment. The original sales invoice must accompany the returned or exchanged product(s). To be eligible for a return or exchange, the product(s) must be in original condition, and all manuals, diskettes, CDs power cords, additional drives and other items included with the product(s) must be returned with the product(s). HP will charge a 15% restocking fee if original contents and original packaging are not included in return. No returns or exchanges will be allowed for products that are damaged by you or while in your possession or control, including damage occurring during return shipment. Exchanges must be exchanged for products of equal value.

The time to process all refunds is approximately fifteen (15) business days after product is received by HP.

If your product fails during the Limited Warranty Period, and the suggestions in the product documentation do not solve the problem, you can receive support by doing the following:
Before calling HP or an HP authorized service provider please have the following information available:
- Product serial number, model name, and product model number (located at either the bottom of the unit or under the battery carriage on a laptop and on the top and/or back of the unit on a desktop)
- Applicable error messages
- Add-on options
- Operating system
- Third-party hardware or software
- Detailed questions
General Requirements and Conditions
Proper authorization is required for any returns, exchanges and warranty repairs. The original sales invoice must accompany all returns, exchanges and warranty repairs. A HP eBay store representative must approve all returns and exchanges. None of the limited warranties described herein cover damage due to external causes, including accident, problems with electrical power, power surges, servicing not authorized by Hewlett-Packard Company, usage not in accordance with product instructions, customer installed software and hardware, failure to perform required preventive maintenance, abuse and misuse.
