Inquiries
We are available to answer your questions Monday through Friday (9AM - 5PM) EST excluding national holidays. We usually answer within one business day unless the answer requires further research.
Shipping
Almost all orders are shipped within one business day. Most orders to North America and UK arrive within 7-21 days. Orders to the rest of the world take 3 weeks on average. During summer and seasonal vacations this may increase to be one month. Shipping to Brazil, Chile and Argentina take longer for reasons outside our control (up to 2 months).
To find the shipping fee applicable to your destination please click on “Shipping and payments” tab below the listing image and choose your country from the drop down menu.
We use USPS for US orders, Canada Post for Canadian orders and a reputable private courier for the rest of the world. Tracking numbers are provided for orders sent inside USA.
Shipping costs to some international destinations vary depending on weight. Books over 4 lbs (2 kgs) are generally expensive to ship outside North America and UK.
Please make sure the shipping address is the one you want to use for the sale. If you could not change the address on time message us as soon as possible to inform us of the correct one. We are not responsible for any delays or expenses incurred if the book was sent to the wrong shipping address based on the customer’s checkout information.
We do accept combined shipping. Because our software does not accommodate pre-sale combined shipping, we refund you the shipping difference in PayPal after placing your payment. We charge half the shipping fee for each additional item. You have to contact us after finishing your purchases to initiate the refund.
Returns/Refunds
We accept returns of books provided they are of the same condition they have been received. Items must be returned within 7 days. Refunds will be given as money back once the item has been received. The buyer pays for return shipping. Please send us a message letting us know the reason you would like to return your book before you mail it back to us.
About Us
Kbooks was established in 1990 as a family business opening a bricks and mortar bookstore in Cobourg, Ontario. We started selling books on the internet in 1996. In January 2005, we switched to exclusively selling online.
Our business has now expanded from the original two family members to include 6 staff members and a third family member. It is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a branch operation based in Niagara Falls, NY.
It is from this location that we directly mail through the USPS to customers based in the US. This twin operation allows Kbooks to provide faster service and efficient service globally. Our Canadian customers are serviced from our location in Toronto through Canada Post.
