Generally on dog tags we put "Medical Alert" and the symbol on one side and you info on the other side, in a landscape layout, in as many lines as necessary. We always optimize the layout to keep the font as large as possible for improved readiblity. We do not put a limit on the amount of text to engrave, but we urge you to keep it as brief as possible for the largest font.

We recommend keeping the character count below 80 on silicone bracelets, but have gone beyond that in the past -- remember less text = easier to read. You can always combine a bracelet and a dog tag if you need more space!
