Q: How long will your mineral makeup last me?

A: Our 30g jar holds 10g of actual powder. It should last you 5 months or more depending on your use.

Our 10g sifter of foundation holds 3g of actual powder will last about 2 months.

Now our 10g jar of eye shadow will last you well over one year, possibly well over two.

10g jar of bronzers, cheek colors should last you one year.

5g jars hold 1g Net Wt product of eye shadow and will last you 6 months or longer.

Q: Are the jars in your Beauty Kits sample sizes?

A: Great Question! NO! We do not cheat you in your beauty kits. What you see is what you get! When checking out other brands pay close attention to the net wt of grams you are receiving not just the price. Confusing I know! You see... net wt grams is the USABLE minerals not the weight of the jar. Our foundations are ALWAYS 30g jars 10g net wt product. If we ever list a foundation in a smaller jar we note that it is a SAMPLE SIZE. We will never pass it off as full size.  Our 30g jars are 30g by volume. What does that mean? It means we fill our jars to capacity!! Your jars will always be FULL! Why 30g jars?  Because the lid pays a vital part in your application of minerals, if the lid to your foundation is any smaller your brush will not fit properly!

Q: You have so many foundations, I dont know what to pick... What's my undertone?

A: No problem!  It's great that we have so many color choices, this allows everyone to find thier perfect match!  If you are unsure of your undertone below are some hints to help you determine it.  Also, mineral powders can always be mixed to achieve a perfect match.  For example, I mix Light Beige & Concealer Coverage Light.  To mix; simply remove the sifter, add additional color, replace sifter, and shake! 

Do you burn but not tan when in the sun?  If yes, you are more than likely a pink undertone.

Do you tan when in the sun?  If yes, you are either a yellow or neutral undertone.

Do you have a natural tan?  If yes, you are either an olive or neutral undertone.  

Lastly, hold a white sheet of paper up next to your face, do you appear to be pink, yellow or olive compared to the paper?  If none, you are probably a neutral.

Q: Do you offer samples?

Yes!  you can look under misc items for samples.  Choose any 3 foundations, and/or any 3 colors.  We charge a small fee for samples, but guess what??  You will receive a credit for the full amount (including shipping) when you purchase the full size! 

Q: Do your mineral foundations have an SPF?

A: Yes! Isn’t that wonderful! Our products have a sun protection factor range of 15-30 due to the zinc content.

Q: Will your mineral foundations make me look shiny?

A: No, our foundations offer a matte finish. As mentioned before, many major mineral makeup companies use Bismuth Oxychloride in their foundations which leaves you with a shimmery, shiny look. We do not use Bismuth Oxychloride and as a result our foundations offer better coverage, stay on longer, and have the highly sought after matte finish. If you do prefer a “dewy” look, you can achieve this by using an all over face color in a shade that coordinates with your skin tone or skip the setting powder.

Q: Who can wear mineral makeup?

A: Anyone! Mineral Makeup is simply the healthiest, most natural form of makeup available. Mineral makeup contains no irritants, preservatives, or fillers that often irritate your skin if you have problem skin with conditions such as acne or rosacea, you will more than likely see great improvements in your skin once you stop applying heavy foundation.

Q: But what if is my skin is dry? Wont mineral powders make me look even drier?

A: Absolutely Not! Yes it is a powder foundation, however it is creamy and weightless. It is not drying, it seals in moisture for those with dry skin, yet doesn't clog pores for those with oily skin. It's simply amazing!  Always moisturize before applying your mineral foundation, however it is important you give it about 5 min to settle into the skin. 

Q: Okay but I have more mature skin. Will it really cover my wrinkles?

A: The natural luminosity helps refract light away from lines and wrinkles, which gives the skin a much softer more youthful appearance. In fact, minerals are preferred by most women with mature skin.

Q: I have oily skin, will mineral foundation work for me?

A: Absolutely! I suffer from extremely oily skin, and I honestly have never found anything that didn’t make me look oily within an hour so until I found mineral makeup! It is a miracle foundation! I can go all day without having to blot! You will not look oily anymore! For those days that I put my makeup on in the am and have plans at night I will grab a blotter just to freshen up a bit. You can find blotters under misc. items in my store. For oily skin we recommend using either cream, sheer matte, or mocha setting powders beacuse they contain kaolin clay that aids in oil absorbation, as opposed to sheer which does not. Use your setting powder under your foundation as a primer as well as over your foundation.  If you have fair to light skin and suffer from very oily skin we have the answer for you... coming soon we will have pure silica which is known for its amazing oil absorbing properties. 

Q: Do you guarantee your products?

A: If your foundation is not the right shade for you please contact us and give us a chance to work with you to find your perfect color. Minerals can easily be mixed to achieve a perfect match, we also carry adjusters that can make a foundation more pink or yellow! If your purchase is delivered incorrect please let us know asap we will be happy to correct the problem. If you are just plain unhappy with your products, again please contact us and we will correct any problems for you, or refund your money less s&h. We want you to be 110% satisfied! Q: Are your mineral foundations waterproof?

A: Mineral Makeup is water resistant, not waterproof, because of the titanium dioxide and zinc oxide content. They are perfect for those with active lifestyles.  Simply blot wetness away rather wipe it away.

Q: I don’t wear makeup all that often, how long does your makeup last before it goes bad?

A: Minerals cannot support microbial growth. Therefore they do not “expire” or “go bad".

Q: How do I apply mineral foundation?

 A: Mineral makeup is very easy to apply, and usually does not take as long as traditional makeup, because you will not have to spend time trying to blend.  Say good riddens to nasty foundation marks on the jaw line!  Application is simple with the “Swirl, Tap and Buff” method. Q: Can you tell me a little bit more about Bismuth Oxycloride, Cornstarch and Talc? I don't understand what they are.

The use of Bismuth Oxychloride in almost all of the best selling mineral makeup powders is sad because the majority of acne and rosacea sufferers trying these products find they also irritate and aggrevate their condition. This leads them to be let down, once again, by advertising claims. Cornstarch is a food grade additive, and therefore can cause molds, yeasts and other "nasties" to grow. You will be happy to know that we do not use cornstarch in any of our mineral makeup. Talc is used in makeup as a filler and as a cheap binder to stretch color. Talc is not only unhealthy for the skin but causes your makeup to crease. It is also known to create "odd" undertones, this explains why so many girls have predominant makeup lines at the jaw when using tradiational liquid makeup.

Many new Mineral Foundations are popping up all over the market! PLEASE ask them what their ingredients are! For Example a very large cosmetic company just released it's new "Mineral Foundation", I dont want to say any names, but its initials are MK. The #1 ingredient in their "Mineral Foundation" is TALC!!  Among many other nasty non-natural ingredients. I honestly dont know how they get away with calling it Mineral Foundation.
