Descriptions of molds are as follows:
Latex only molds are made without any type of backup. These must be embedded into a pile of sand, foam packaging peanuts or by creating your own backup which will allow the mold to hold it's shape while being poured. This type of mold can be used with plaster or concrete and create 1000's of statues.
A latex & fiberglass mold is a latex mold that comes with a fiberglass backup which holds the shape of the latex while it is being filled. This mold works with plaster or concrete and will create 1000's of statues.
A latex & plastic mold is a latex mold that comes with a lightweight plastic backup that holds the latex mold in shape while it is being poured. These molds are a great solution for those who want a quick & easy mold that works by itself but is inexpensive and very easy to use. This mold works with concrete or plaster and will create 1000's of statues.
ABS PLASTIC ONLY molds can be used all by themselves. You just pour, set and unmold! These molds are great with plaster, concrete, wax and candy. The strength of the plastic varies with the size of the mold we are creating. Plastic molds can last for years and create 100's of statues when taken care of properly. |
