My name is Amber and I founded Moto Skate n Surf 8 years ago. My online adventure began soon after I was diagnosed with CML, a very rare form of Leukemia. I have always embraced the Internet in its entirety. It has been a virtual book of knowledge for me. With the twists come turns and it has given me avenues I didn't think I was going to be able to travel down being so sick.  

After my initial diagnosis and all the appointments and procedures that go with it I began to respond well to the Chemo. I am blessed to be able to take a form of Chemotherapy that is in a pill versus an injectable.  I will never be cured of this cancer on this medication but for now it is keeping this beast at ease. I see my Oncologist enough that his office has become a  place of comfort. I go there to not only receive my treatment but to see my other family.

With my cancer under control for a while now I have begun to start focusing on what is my future. Before it was really hard to see myself just a few weeks ahead but now I am able to see a little further down the road and I have been able to put myself at ease with my faith.

Being a cancer patient alters your reality to the point of  no return. During my struggle and prior to my diagnosis I was and am still a full time mother of 2 children  To do this alone would be one thing but to do it knowing you have 2 little ones counting on you is another.  My children are my reason for living, they are my heart and soul and I fight for them not for me...

About 8 years ago not to soon after my youngest started kindergarten I began feeling like I wasn't doing enough. Being a stay at home mom is an amazing thing to be able too do but I also wanted to be able to provide for them in every aspect of the matter.

This is when eBay came into my life. Why not buy and sell used items and auction them on ebay to help out financially? This was the perfect solution for my family and I! I could still stay at home with my kiddo's, I could make my own schedule, and if I had complications from the cancer or the side effects from it I could take a day off and not worry about getting fired or judged. It has given me the opportunity to thrive in a way that I never thought possible!

So I hit the ground running, I started slow at first buying used items and progressed steadily to new items. That's when Moto Skate n Surf was born. The rest is history and yet to be determined!

One day I hope to expand past eBays borders.... I am begining to see further into the future then I ever thought possible and I have learned at a very young age that life is short, live life to the fullest and seize every day and make the most of every opportunity!!
