One of the seller eBay “star ratings” is for shipping time. We hope our buyers understand that this means how long it took US to take your package to the Post Office. This does NOT relate to how long the Post Office took getting the package to you. We try to offer multiple shipping options and clearly state that we welcome any questions or suggestions for other options. The stated estimates for delivery are just that – estimates. The actual time for delivery is completely in the hands of the USPS. In addition, we have found that Media and Parcel Post packages have been taking even longer than usual, and are not updated as frequently online at www.usps.com.
After a small handful of extremely slow packages have become an issue, and many phone calls with USPS, we have obtained detailed information on Media Rate mail and Parcel Post mail. Regardless of the time quoted by the USPS through eBay, both rates can “officially” take up to 14 days OR LONGER (this does NOT include weekends, holidays, OR the date the package was received into their system) to arrive at its destination. They also said that while SOMETIMES items with delivery confirmation are scanned into the system along the way and show up online (www.usps.com), it is not always the rule, and often will not show up online until AFTER delivery. If your package has still not arrived after the 14 days has gone by, PLEASE contact us immediately. After the 14 days have passed, we can file a missing package claim with the USPS. According to USPS rules, we have to wait 14 business days before we can file a claim with the post office. In the meantime, if your package is taking an absurd amount of time, we will keep tracking this online and will call the post office frequently. The post office will NOT open a claim or designate further time to this until the 14 days has passed. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the US Postal System and have to follow their rules when opening claims. We apologize for this huge inconvenience and will do everything in our power to resolve any issues with USPS to our buyers satisfaction.
