One of the major fundraisers at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is our gift card fundraiser.  We purchase gift cards at a discount and resell them at face value.  All gift cards are worth full face value when they are redeemed at the store.  Our profit is the difference between the purchase price and the face value.  In the past we have relied upon our school families, church parishioners and the Meriden, CT community to purchase gift cards in support of the school.  We have been able to expand our program to a national level through the generosity of eBay's Charitable Giving Works policy for non-profit organizations.  Through this policy, any listing that sells is not subject to the normal fees that eBay charges.  You will notice that all of our listings contain a ribbon indicating that our items qualify for this program. 

The nice thing about this fundraiser is that we're not asking anyone to purchase anything that they don't need, i.e. wrapping paper & chocolate bars.  If you will be shopping at any of the stores that we have a gift card for, we ask that you consider buying the gift card through us.  You can use the cards you buy to pay for your groceries, take the family to dinner, buy new clothes, or fill up your car with gasoline.  Do you have a gift gving occasion coming up?  Let us save you a trip to the store to buy your gift cards by purchasing the cards directly through us.  All gift cards will be delivered right through the mail.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School - Past to Present

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is a Catholic elementary school, sponsored and supported by Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. OLMC originally opened it doors to students in grades kindergarten through grade six in 1944, when the Rev. Walter Lyddy purchased the Nathan Hale Public School from the city of Meriden. By 1947, the school was a learning center for youngsters from kindergarten through grade nine.

For over sixty years, Our Lady of Mount Carmel School has provided challenges and opportunities for our students to advance to their fullest potential by teaching Catholic doctrine and moral values, developing academic skills, creating high standards of achievement and building a positive self-image and respect for others. Today, Our Lady of Mount Carmel School continues as the best vehicle for evangelization providing students from pre-kindergarten through grade eight with a strong academic foundation.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School welcomes students from all parishes, nationalities and faiths, and invites the children and their families to become part of our school community.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School has its accredidation through New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

The mission of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School is to educate students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 in a faith-forming, academic setting.
