Hello! Welcome to our eBay Store, Piggy's Pet Palace (www.piggyspetpalace.com)! Where Pets Rule!! I just thought I'd tell you a little bit about ourselves. Well, I guess I'll start with me first. I am a 6-year-old little female pug named Piglet. I love to go for rides in the car (doesn't matter where!), treats (I'll eat ALMOST anything!), bellyrubs (or any kind of attention, really!), getting dressed up in different outfits (mommy always says I look so cute!) & my family. There are a few things I could live without though. Like getting my nails clipped (I freak out EVERY time!), getting my wrinkles on my face cleaned (I snort a lot during that!), going to the doctor for my many visits (but don't we all hate to go!) & getting my medications every morning & every night (although I do get a treat so I guess it's not so bad!). I have a big brother named Wicket (he's actually named after a "Star Wars" character!). He's a 8-year-old male tabby cat. That's him on the store logo with me.Don't we look adorable in our "royal" fashions? Anyway, I love him very much and we are BEST BUDDIES, even though he sometimes acts like we aren't. I love to pester him and chase him around the house. Well actually, I should probably say that I love to get chased by him because whenever we wrestle & play together it always ends up the other way around. He chases me! I LOVE IT & SO DOES HE!! Now, about my mom. She got me when I was just six weeks old & only 2 pounds and says she knew I was the one for her the moment she saw me (but she says that about the cat, too!). We've been through a lot together. I have had eye problems right from the start. Within a couple days of getting me, my mom found out I had an ulcer on my left eye. But medicine cleared that right up. I then also had to have four surgeries all before I was 2-years-old. Granted, one was a regular spaying, but it still wasn't fun. The other three were all on my eyes. You see, my eyes were too big, bug-eyed & bulgy when I was just a tiny puppy so they did the first surgery to close them down a bit so they wouldn't pop out. But, the left one ended up popping out anyway about a year later. That hurt A LOT! I cried & cried. My mom was so scared for me. But don't worry, the doctor did a great job on the second surgery and was able to put it back in. A couple of weeks later, they did a third eye surgery to close them down even more. Then, a few weeks after that, when the stitches were FINALLY taken out (they itched so much!) the doctor checked my eyes again to see if I could still see out of that left one & I could. My mom was so happy to see that. The doctor told her that I am a VERY lucky girl because most dogs that this happens to end up losing their vision or even worse, their whole eye. So I guess it's true, I AM a very lucky girl. My mom never left my side or gave up trying to save my eye(s) & my vision no matter what the cost. And I am happy to report that I am doing very well. No more major eye problems as of yet. Hopefully it is all in the past. I will have to be on medications probably for the rest of my life but that's OK. I can take it! I've been through worse (obviously!). That brings me to the reason why my mom started this eBay Store in the first place. All of those surgeries & all my medications have not been cheap. She needed to find some way to pay for it all. She decided to open a DISCOUNT pet supply store because she does love animals so much & loves to make them and their "parents" happy. So far it is going alright. We still have a long way to go but hopefully we'll get their soon! Oh yeah, the best part, in my opinion, is that my mommy named the store after me as a tribute & to always remind her why she started it in the first place.
