I have left as I no longer wish to be a part of eBay due to unfair policies that eBay holds in order to eleviate any responsiblities to their sellers when unfair practices occur by a few rare buyers.
Recently I was given my FIRST negative feedback from a NEW customer who admits that the negative feedback was unfair. However, the customer has decided to now lie about things since I refunded her purchase of an item that I missed (due to her leaving the negative feedback in the same instance that she wrote to let me know that I had missed sending a pattern, therefore not giving me a chance to make things right before ruining my perfect rating.) when sending out the first order and now says she did not receive anything from me. She did, however, leave feedback stating that the item that she received was shipped fast and that she was happy. Yet now she says she never received it.
I have worked during funerals for my father in law, my grandmother, grandfather, the loss of my dog who was my companion for 12 years, 4 reconstructive ankle surgeries, a hysterectomy, illnesses etc. so that I could maintain my perfect standing. To allow this person, in a split second to destroy all of the effort I have put into maintaining perfect feedback with over 6,000 positive transactions is completely unfair. Yet it is Ebay policy. You must ask the buyer to retract the feedback. How unfair is it to put me at the mercy of a person that would be so mean to have done something like this in the first place without giving someone a chance to even respond to the first email they sent. I opened the email, read and responded as soon as it was dropped in my box so seconds passed between her writing to me and my responding back to her. I even offered to send her the epattern until the card stock pattern arrived so that she would not be inconvenieced until I found out that she hurried to leave the negative feedback right after she sent me the first email letting me know my mistake. At that point I refunded that item as I did not want to continue business with such a person.
Even after giving me negative feedback, this person even wrote to me about wanting to purchase in the future!! Can you imagine???
Due to Ebay's UNFAIR POLICIES of not removing feedback that is given unfairly, I find it is time for me to leave eBay. I will not pay monthly fees to a company that does not stand behind their seller's when an unfair situation occurs just because they have an unfair policy in place.

I do apologize for any inconvenience but I cannot be a part of such a company that allows this to happen to their sellers and I certainly don't want to pay them every month to be treated this way.
