Before bidding
- Please familiarize yourself with our Terms & Conditions.
- Your bid is a legally binding contract.
- The Buyer is responsible for the actual costs of shipping, handling, and insurance.
- If you are serious about bidding please contact us for a shipping quote. Do not bid before getting a shipping quote. (Unless shipping cost is already stated).
- At this point we only ship to US based customers. No international shipping.
- We only ship to confirmed addresses.
- Please read the descriptions and look at the pictures closely before bidding. The antiques we offer are between 100 and 250 years old. They will show wear, age, and patina unless described as mint condition. We will not state normal wear and age but will do our best to accurately communicate any other imperfections with words and images. We are highly experienced with antiques but we are not professional appraisers. We make no guarantees on the age or appraised value of our antiques. Everything is stated to the best of our knowledge.

- Bidding on one of our eBay auctions indicates that you have read and have accepted our Terms & Conditions.
Bidding profile
- We reserve the right to only sell to people with a positive feedback record.
- We ask all bidders with less than 10 in feedback to contact us PRIOR to bidding.
- We reserve the right to not honor bids from people with a 0 feedback rating.
Payment
- Swedish Fine Living prefers Paypal. Pay securely with any major credit card through Paypal. We also accept cashier's check and money orders with a hold for money clearance.
- FULL PAYMENT for the purchase price and S&H is expected within 8 days after completion of the AUCTION. Otherwise, we reserve the right to re-list the item.
- We do not offer second chance offers.
- We are required by law to collect 8.8% sales tax for Washington state residents, excluding those with a valid resale certificate number.
- For non-paying bidders, a non-payment form will be filed and appropriate feedback will be posted.
- If you choose to handle the transaction through an escrow service, try www.escrow.com, eBay's approved escrow service.
Shipping & handling
- Buyer is responsible for actual cost of shipping, handling and insurance.
- At this point we only ship to US based customers. No international shipping.
- Please contact us for shipping/delivery rates BEFORE bidding: Contact swedishfineliving. We will contact you within 24 hours.
- Please see our recommended shipping companies further down.
- Once your item has been paid in full, we will give you a personal contact to work with within 24 hours, so you can follow the shipment all the way to your door. With UPS we will give you a web tracking number.
- Our goal is to ship within 48 hours, excluding weekend and holidays.
- Expected delivery time for larger items are anywhere between one week and three weeks door-to-door, depending on final destination. (Crated items might take longer). UPS items generally ship within ten days.
- We are not responsible for time in transit.
- We will gladly combine multiple purchases to reduce your total shipping cost.
- You are responsible for the proper disposal of all access packaging, incl. specially made wooden shipping containers.
- If you prefer to use your own shipping company, we gladly welcome that.
You are most likely already aware of this but shipping of larger items such as furniture can be costly, depending on where you live.
Note that insurance is required for all of our items. It is usually not a high cost and it is worth it.
We trust and recommend Craters & Freighters for shipment of our larger pieces. They are fast and very service minded. They have operated for almost 20 years and are experts in shipping antiques & art and will make sure that your piece will get to your destination quickly, safely, and for the lowest possible cost.
For expensive and extra fragile items it might be necessary for the item to be boxed or crated and strapped to a pallet. The shipping company will contact you and deliver your item(s) during regular business hours. You are responsible for the proper disposal of all access packaging, incl. specially made wooden shipping containers.
We also use UPS for items within their size limit.
In case of damage
- The items you buy from Swedish Fine Living are always shipped with insurance.
- Together with the appointed shipping company we will make sure that the item(s) are carefully inspected for damages before leaving our warehouse.
- It is your responsibility to do so on your end. If, at the time of delivery, you notice any damage, defect or deficiency, please immediately notify the shipping company and Swedish Fine Living for instructions.
Refund
- We are confident that you will be happy with your purchase from Swedish Fine Living. If you, for whatever reason, are not entirely satisfied with the item bought, you may return it and receive a full refund less shipping and handling and insurance costs.
- Refunds must be requested within 10 days upon receipt of goods.
Instructions:
- You will need our return form with authorization and guidelines in advance.
- Once authorized it is your responsibility to make sure that the item arrives to us in the same condition as it reached your end destination.
- Once the item has reached our warehouse a full refund (excl. shipping and insurance) will be issued to you, by the same payment method made to us.
