Shipping
We are now shipping up to 6 Days a Week!
Most items ship the same day they are paid for (or the e-check clears).

All invoices will have at least two shipping options:
Parcel Post & Priority
Please select the appropriate method to ensure your item arrives when you need it to. Parcel Post can take up to 14 Business Days to arrive. Priority averages 2-3 days but can take as long as 5 days to arrive in Western states.
We are NOT responsible
for slow shipping
on the part of USPS!

See Our
Store Policy Statements Page
For full Policy Statement

Question 1: Why did you ship my two purchases separately?
Answer: Because you PAID for them separately.
According to PayPal policy, if two items are paid for separately, they must be shipped separately. If your items closed on different days, I wrote you either telling you not to pay for the first item yet or asking if you wanted to wait to combine the two items. But if you paid for them separately, you either didn't follow instructions or didn't get back to me about combining the items. I am thus bound by PayPal policy to ship the items individually or I risk losing my Seller Protection.

Remember this when clicking the stars for shipping and handling.
It's YOUR FAULT you paid twice.
Not mine.

Question 2:Are your lingerie items the same as the ones in stock photos I see in a lot of other listings?

Answer:
Indeed they are!  And if you see those stock photos with the same item I am selling, it means we're all probably buying from the same supplier--so LOOK CLOSELY at their prices for both the item and for shipping, especially since postal prices went up in May of 2008!

Compare shipping times as well. Some of those sellers don't actually have the item on hand. They collect orders through auction & store listings and then place their order with the supplier. You'll know them by their 10 to 14 day shipping times and complaints in Feedback of slow shipping and item not in stock. Sometimes the manufacturer/wholesaler runs out and the broker sellers (which is what these type of Ebay sellers are) have to refund or offer the buyer a different item. So be warned:  If you buy through a broker seller, the item you purchase may not be available!

Every item in my listings is actually in my inventory, on hand, ready to be shipped!

Question #3: Do you ship to _______________? (Insert country here)
Answer:
We ship to Canada in pretty much every listing. In most listings, Canadian costs are for 1st Class International, which is much lower than to other zones in the world.  The Priority rate assigned for World Wide do apply to Canadian Buyers.

At this time, we are putting World Wide in every new listing. For items that are light, such as jewelry, we are using a flat rate 1st Class International price that is fair to everyone. For heavier items, however, it becomes a nightmare! To avoid this, International shipments other than jewelry & Canadian are ALL shipped using Priority International USPS service. This makes for one price on all items that can fit into the Priority Flat Rate Envelope. One fair price to everyone.

Question 4: Why is my International shipment taking so long?
Answer 4:  Got me hanging. Ask your country's postal system. I guarantee that I have taken your package to the post office in a timely fashion. This will be proven easily enough by looking up the USPS Customs label number (a link to which was provided to you if I was able to print your postage--if not, I will provide the number so you can look for yourself). What happens to your package after that is up to the USPS, your country's postal system and your Customs office.

Remember that when it comes time to leave feedback and click those stars. I am NOT responsible for how long it took your package to get there. Even eBay tells you this. Packages to Canada could take as little as four days or as long as six weeks. I've personally experienced both.

Please don't get snippy with me over things that are out of my control.

Qestion #5A: Why do you not have BIN prices or accept PayPal for your Mature Audiences items?
Answer #5A:
We are not allowed to use BIN pricing (which is the very nature of a store listing), or even MENTION that we will accept PayPal.  The exclusion of money order and check payments in eBay's policy does NOT affect the Mature Audiences category.

Question #5B: Why are Mature Audiences items not showing up when I search Ebay or your store?
Answer #5B: Mature Audiences items only show in the "Seller's Other Items" view.
They do not show when you click on the store or any store category, and will not pop up within a store when you search for them. This is another of those arbitrary policies that has no purpose other than to make it difficult for us to sell our products.

Some take advantage of Store Listings and overcharge for their pieces since they don't pay weekly auction fees.  I know what leather and other components cost wholesale.  I know how much time actually goes into making pieces.  I know who is ripping you off. Some of you are getting ripped off bigtime!

You will not find MA items when you search the general area of Ebay. You must actually be IN the MA category to conduct said search, which is why I have the link in my Tao by Tyler store category.

When you see items like my MA leathers in other categories or in store listings, the seller is knowingly and intentionally violating numerous Ebay policies.  Categorization; store listing; BIN; use of PayPal since MA items are not supposed to be paid for through PayPal; and international sales if they sell outside the USA.

Question #5C: Why do you have bidders ID's private on some leather and jewelry items?
Answer #5C:
In order to assure the high level of discretion my leather buyers generally require, I use the Private Listing feature for all of my leathers. Being Lifestyle myself, I understand the need for anonymity, and the anxiety buyers can feel when they purchase such products with a seller they don't know or who hasn't had a large number of sales. I generally get only one bid on my leather items; so it's not other bidders you are hidden from but every single person who views a given listing for the 90 days the item title and link are available to anyone who looks at my feedback.

Only you, eBay and I will know what you've purchased when you buy leather or certain jewelry pieces from me.

Question #5D: Why can't you sell Mature Audiences items Internationally?
Answer #5D: Ask eBay. Their policy prohibits the International sale of Mature Audiences items.
Something about customs regulations and item legality being different from country to country, and nearly impossible to track and apply. In other words, rather than research what items would be admissible in various countries, Ebay just excludes them all except Canada and doesn't let us sell.

An educated consumer is the best consumer.

I thank all of my Tao by Tyler buyers for their continued support
as my line of products continues to expand!

Question 6: Will you lie to customs for me so I don't have to pay postal fees or duty charges?
Answer 6: No, I will not.  You are asking me to commit a crime.

Question 7: What are the Hip/Bust/Waist measurements for this lingerie item?
Answer:
All items in the XL/1X to 5X categories are made to the size chart in the left margin of my store unless otherwise stated. I currently purchase from only ONE supplier and this is THEIR size chart. Check your measurements against the chart and you will know what size to buy. If you measure one size in the bust and another in the hips, go with the one you normally have to accomodate for a gown or chemise. For a babydoll, go with the bust measurement. If a garment does not conform to the size chart, I will state so in the listing.

Question #8:
  How long is this gown?
Answer:
Most listings should have the length of the gown or chemise at this point. If you find a listing that doesn't have the length, use the Ask Seller a Question feature and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can. If you do not add your name or email address, I can post the length to that listing and it will be one more
to have that information.

Question #9: Why don't you leave Feedback as soon as a Buyer pays for an item?
Answer: Because our transaction is not concluded with payment for the item.  Not by a longshot. I have to ship it, you have to get it. It would help if you'd tell me you got it and like it; but you probably won't.

It has been my long-standing policy (some eight years now) to leave feedback after it has been left for me. For 99% of my transactions, receiving feedback is the only way I know a customer has received their item and is pleased with it.  Almost no one bothers to write an email and tell me.  Searching every single DC number to confirm delivery is a tedium I wouldn't expect of any Seller.

Leaving feedback for the customer who has left it for me concludes our business together. I can then archive the transaction for future reference and make more room in my SOLD list. My feedback speaks for itself. Feel free to look at what I've left for other buyers.  It has been my experience that the ones who don't like my policy are those who abuse the Feedback system.

Question #10: Why will you not accept a money order for anything other than Mature Audiences items?

Answer: To put it quite simply, because I want to be paid for the items people commit to pay for. Promises of money orders all too often turn into three or more weeks of my time and effort wasted. I have better things to do than chase after people for twenty bucks.  If five people a month want to pay by money order and only two of them follow through on their promise to pay, would YOU continue to accept them?

Question #11: Do you accept E-Checks?
Answer: Absolutely!
According to Ebay and PayPal policy, any Seller who accepts PayPal must accept ALL FORMS of PayPal. They cannot state within a listing that they will not take E-Checks. Or that they ONLY take Credit Cards and not Debit Cards. They cannot refund your E-Check and then demand another form of payment.

Some Sellers try, of course. They don't like E-Checks because they want their money NOWNOWNOW!!! They don't want to wait three to fourteen business days for it. This is particularly the case for International transactions. Clearance for International E-Checks is about 14 business days. Look at your PayPal transaction and it will tell you the expected clearance date.

If a Buyer wants to reduce or eliminate this delay, they can use their Master Card or Visa logo Debit Card like a credit card. OR...Buyers can transfer a small amount of money (just enough to cover the transaction) from their bank account to their PayPal account when they first bid on the item. This takes a fraction of the time to clear than an E-Check and the funds are already there when the auction closes, or within a day or two after. Just email the Seller and explain. They'll be totally happy about it.

Question 12: I sent you the item numbers for four items and asked for 'a quote,' but you only sent me a shipping quote. Why?

Answer: Because at least one of the items is an auction listing. I cannot give you a quote for a final price until the auction HAS a final price. I'm sure you are an intelligent human being, perfectly capable of adding up the BIN prices of the items you were just looking at. The calculator will tell you easily enough how much they will cost. It is the shipping that is variable, so it is the shipping price I will quote you.

I use a standardized tier for lingerie shipping prices:
Babydolls $3.50
Chemises $4
Long Gowns $4.50.
Priority is $6 regardless of which piece you purchase.

Let's say you are buying one long gown and two chemises. Start with the highest shipping cost. $4.50 for the long gown. Then add $1 for each of your additional purchases. Your shipping will be $6.50 for parcel post.

Priority is even easier since there are no tiers. $6 base cost and $1 each for your additionals. Your Priority shipping price for one long gown and two chemises would be $8.00.

Insurance is always additional, of course.

Question 13: What is the BRAND NAME of your lingerie
Answer: I purchase directly from the manufactuer.
They are not a national brand you would know unless you've purchased their items from me or someone else before. The company from which I purchase sells to or makes items for national companies such as JC Penney, Blair and Roaman's. It is high quality, first run merchandise. No return odd lots, wholesale overstocks or clearance rack finds! Other companies buy from my supplier and put their own labels and tags on the items.

Question 14: I emailed with an offer on three items that would basically get me one item for free, and wanted you to throw in free Priority shipping to boot. Why didn't you accept my offer?
Answer: Do I REALLY need to answer this? Okay, I'll make it simple. I don't use the Best Offer feature for a reason, and your ridiculous offer is why. Reduce my prices so that one item is free AND give you free shipping? Do Sellers actually fall for that? I'm not giving stuff away, dude. I'm trying to make a living here.

I will post other pertinent questions as they arise.
Most of the time, I prefer not to post questions & answers
directly to listings because polite Buyers often put their real first and/or last name and sometimes their private email address in the questions they send. If I posted the question, I'd be posting their personal information to a public area of the site, and that is a direct violation of
Ebay's Terms of Service and your trust.

We maintain a high level of discretion in order to preserve
the anonymity of our Buyers!
