Meet Our Staff
Nick never intended to start The Pro's Closet, he was (and still is) a minimalist that wanted to simply create space. 8 years ago while living out of his VW Van in Grand Junction CO, he sold everything on eBay. At the time he was pedaling professionally for Trek/VW's regional team (www.ridewithnickmartin.com
) and chasing "the dream". One thing lead to another and before he knew it, he was sitting behind a computer selling product for his peers while they where out training.
When Nick is not steering The Pro's Closet forward, he's collecting mid-century antiques, making music, mowing the lawn, pursuing his next chapter in interior design and kicking it with his black lab Norman.
Pete "Plo" Lopinto
Pete is a Jersey boy and a encyclopedia of bike knowledge. He is our front man and "face" of The Pro's Closet. Pete and Nick joined forces 7 years ago while he racing for Sierra Nevada's Pro Road Team. Pete brought his road contacts to the business and the rest is history.
Outside of the shop Plo collects watches, races motorcycles and still sticks to his roots in the saddle.
Photography Dept. Manager
Born and raised in Arizona Andrew grew up in a large family and had an appreciation for art and the outdoors at a young age. Art is what brought him to Colorado and as far as the outdoors goes, he was pleasantly surprised to find what this great state had to offer. After he graduated high school, he immediately moved to Denver to attend the art institute of Colorado. After graduating from there he eventually found Boulder and was so taken by the town; the people and the landscape that he settled down to call this great place home. Presently, he enjoys the proximity to trailheads, an occasional night of dancing and as an employee at The Pros Closet Inc., he is able to channel his artistic drive in the photography dept.
Customer Service Rep
As TPC's customer service manager, Brittany is the voice of The Pros Closet. In the beautiful Flatiron mountains, she grew up in fondness for the outdoor and social liveliness of Boulder, Colorado. After a short time studying art in San Francisco, she finished her education at the University of Colorado graduating with double major in Studio Art and Women and Gender studies.
Currently, Brittany is working towards her masters in photography at the Academy of Art University. In her spare time, she does photo essays for Denver Post's entertainment site, Reverb. Her morning are spent practicing yoga and Pilates and, on most evenings, ending her day on a good glass of vino.
Jack Barcheck is beyond talented. Heâll teach you guitar, ceramics, proper running form, and how to rock climb within a dayâs work. Also, heâs been pickin' a mean banjo before they even invented banjos. Soon, heâll be teaching us all the proper archery mechanics or the best brewing techniques even though he's new to these fields. And if that wasn't enough, he also holds the undisputed title of The Proâs Closet Pull-Up champion.
Catch Jack doing all the above or setting up your items to sell for big bucks.
Whatâs it like meeting Jacob? Itâs like meeting a scientistâs description of the ideal human. Smart? Check. Heâs studying mechanical engineering, writes a blog, and reads books for the story arc. Athletic? Check. He ran cross country and biked in high school, still loves riding any velodrome, joneses for rock climbing, and likes snowboarding. He does all of this with only a third of a lung. Artistic? Well, he played guitar once so weâll count it.
Jacob also works with your gear to maximize what goes into your pocket. Of course, heâs good at it. Didnât you read what we wrote above?
Photographer Department Manager/Social Media Director
Jarrad rides anything extreme. From surfing in California to skiing and snowboarding in Breckenridge to dirt jumping wherever thereâs dirt, this Pittsburgh native is all about it. He even makes cruisers seem legit. Plus heâs a kickass graphic designer with a degree from SUNY Oswego.
Heâll make your gear look steller under the lights or help it get noticed through our social media campaigns.
Jason "Southern Belle" Bellegarde
On a road trip through the Colorado Rockies at sunset (insert mental picture here), Jason decided to move from his southern roots in New Orleans to Boulder, Colorado. He caught the riding bug while living amongst the cycling culture of the West and last summer he jumped in the deep end, riding his fixed gear down the coast of California.
When he is not riding, Jason is cooking Cajun food, working on film sets, watching Indie films and teaching the rest of us how to be hip. He brings an artistic spark to The Pro's Closet and he is the reason your order is carefully packed and shipped within 24 hours. Jason is not a hipster.
Josh loves snow. He really, really loves it. Heâs never lived anyplace he couldnât be near it. Be it Chicago, Washington state, southern California teaching snowboarding, or ski bumming Breckenridge, Colorado, Josh was never far from his board. If heâs not at the shop, most days heâs backcountry snowboarding with his Saint Bernard, Franky, or heâs spinning old-school hip hop albums with a cold brew.
Josh is our resident snow sports buyer and lead auction manager.
New Business Developement
Justin is a crowd favorite. Whether he is in the peloton, at karaoke bar, or entertaining his new baby girl, Darla.... he's making history. When we first met Justin, he was one of the best climbers on the pro circuit, racing for Toyota United. Before that, he was a collegiate cross country star and was recently inducted into the East Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame. Justin is a tough act to follow... anyone that knows him will concur.
Today Justin is head of our new business development working remotely from his office in North Carolina. Working along side retailers, reps, teams, athletes, and companies to help them manage their inventory, operate more efficiently and building relationships in a new retail market.
This amature model aviator is obsessed with one thing and one thing only: speed. A pro mountain bike racer who will beat anyone on any trail and a solid dirt jumper, our lead mechanic and athletic rep is all about bikes.
He studied Environmental Science at Colorado College while beginning his racing career. Exclusively he listens to Skrillex while training for his next race. Why, you ask? Youâll have to catch him on the trail to find out.
Bicycle Auction Manager
Brewmaster Phil is a country man. Growing up in West Virginia and North Carolina where hiking, camping, and biking are learned in preschool, itâs no wonder Phil has that country boy heart. In 2003, he transplanted to Telluride, CO to add skiing to his already active lifestyle. And June 2012 he married his strikingly pretty lady, Emily. Itâs always a treat at TPC when he brings in a homebrew.
Phil is The Proâs Closet resident bike expert. He makes sure every cycle, frame, and wheel meets our standards for resale. Have a random bike question? Ask away at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Steve was raised in a cabin with an outhouse and sled dog team in the back yard. Despite the -60F winters and brutal mud seasons, he still found time to fall in love with great outdoors and man's greatest invention: the bicycle.
Steve's passion followed him to Western Colorado where BMX racing and Mountain biking were balanced with adventures to the deserts of the Colorado Plateau and the mountains surrounding Telluride and Ouray. After attending the University of Colorado, Steve set out to enjoy the Boulder lifestyle to the fullest: camping, hiking, climbing, cycling, and manicuring moustaches. Though his heart may lie somewhere in the labyrinth canyons of Eastern Utah, Steve is excited to find himself at The Pro's Closet, where he strives to become a guru of quality control as the Shipping Department Manager.
