| We like to be honest with our buyers upfront and know that buying online can be tricky. Titanium is not for everyone, so please be informed before making your purchase. We are one of the titanium-ring-selling pioneers on ebay. You can trust our customer service and experience. (the answers to these questions below will apply for our made to order stainless steel rings as well)
IS THE FINISH ON MY TITANIUM RING SCRATCH-PROOF? The good news: titanium is a strong metal. It should not bend or thin over time, it is tough. It will not tarnish or turn your finger colors.
The bad news: the finish is not scratch-proof.
Often buyers think that because titanium is a strong metal it is also resistant to scratching to the finish. This is just not the case.
Your ring will get scratching READILY with just normal daily wear.
For most, the scratching is a minor issue, for some, not so much.
We know that titanium is not for everyone, so please be sure to make an informed decision prior to purchase.
SATIN: a very light textured matte finish
BRUSHED: a medium textured matte finish
STONE: a rough (but not rough to the touch) textured matte finish (stone finish is the best of the matte finishes at holding up to daily wear)
FROSTED: a unique, luminescent textured finish that gives the titanium a slightly more shimmery appearance and a bit of sparkle or bling (one of the better finishes at holding up to daily wear). IMPORTANT NOTE: The frosted finish is still gray, it is not a white finish and the luminescent sparkle is most prominent in the direct light/sunlight and on the wider rings. Please be reasonable in your expectations.
POLISHED: smooth - mirror like. The polished finish is easiest to touch up at home using a mag wheel polish (available at automotive stores) and any buffing cloth from time to time)
SANDBLASTED: just as the name implies, a blast of sand is applied to the ring giving it a slightly darker or muddier gray look with a unique texture. Sandblasted finish is not a heavy texture.
Sandblasting is prone to scratching to the finish and will show scratching almost immediately with daily wear. But please note that the scratching to the sandblasted finish does not wear off the sandblasting and this finish will eventually wear to more smooth/glossy over time. Some have told us they prefer the look of worn sandblasting over the freshly sandblasted look.
BURNISHED: Gives the ring a nice muted gray textured look. DURABLE finish that holds up the absolute best of any of our finishes to daily wear, seriously, this finish is tough. Burnished finish is currently only available on styles AX11, AX16 and AX118.
GOLD/SILVER INLAY RING STYLES: At this time we are not able to offer the all polished finish on any of our inlay ring styles.
We find that the inlay metal for our gold inlay rings can vary just slightly in color and intensity from batch to batch as ordered for our stock so photo color may vary, but we always use solid 14k gold inlay wire.
White gold will still have a slight yellowish hue to the metal but is more muted than yellow gold. Yellow gold is a deeper richer gold/yellow color. Pink gold we find tends to look a bit copper in color. If you want a picture of the different inlay metals side by side, let us know and we will send that. If you have any questions about inlays, please ask before purchasing so you can be sure before you purchase given these rings are considerably more in price.

HOW CAN YOU SELL YOUR TITANIUM RINGS SO CHEAP? Simple answer - we make our titanium rings. You are just avoiding the middle man and retail jewelry store mark-ups when shopping with us. The price you are paying on ebay is not much more than the wholesale price we charge our jeweler/jewelry store accounts.
HOW CAN I MAINTAIN THE FINISH ON MY TITANIUM RING AT HOME? We once had a buyer e-mail us this tip and it seems to work well. For the POLISHED finish/sections on your ring you can use a mag wheel polish and a buffing cloth from time to time to buff out the minor scratches from daily wear. Most jewelers (local to you) can also touch up the finish for you.
WHAT IS THE BEST FINISH IF I AM CONCERNED ABOUT SCRATCHING? The two finishes we offer that have proven to show scratching the least readily are our exclusive frosted finish and the burnished finish.
What color is this ring? We want to state up front that we take our own photos and do the best we can with lighting (we are not professionals). Titanium is a gray color similar to stainless steel.
I THOUGHT TITANIUM WAS HEAVY AND MY RING IS LIGHT - WHY? Don't confuse the strength of titanium with it's weight. Titanium is a very lightweight metal. Surprising given it's strength, but that is one of the draws to titanium for jewelry. Durablility combined with the comfort of a ring so lightweight you should hardly know you are wearing it. (Please note that stainless steel rings will be slightly heavier than titanium).
ARE YOU USING REAL TITANIUM? My husband cuts/finishes each titanium ring we sell from a solid bar of 6al-4v grade 5 titanium. (we cut our stainless steel rings from a solid bar of 316 stainless steel). All of our rings are cut approx. 2mm thick to accommodate the comfort fit cut on the inside of the rings.
Our titanium rings... Are made by us when you order (except titanium clearance store category sales) Are not re-sizable in the traditional way (no titanium ring is) Are a grayish metal similar to stainless steel in color Are not going to turn your finger colors or tarnish Are very lightweight (titanium rings are not heavy - do not expect to receive a heavy ring) Are for men or women (all styles have been purchased by men and women over the years) Are highly polished & free from markings on the inside of the ring (unless you purchase engravings of course :) Are very suitable for wedding bands Are tough and tauted to outlast their owner (will not bend or thin over time) Please note: all rings are cut approx. 2mm thickness to accommodate the comfort fit cut on the inside of the band. Rings will not lay flush against your finger.
Our stainless steel rings... Are made by us when you order Are not re-sizable in the traditional way (no stainless steel ring is) Are a grayish metal similar to titanium in color Are not going to turn your finger colors or tarnish Are a bit heavier than titanium rings Are for men or women (all styles have been purchased by men and women over the years) Are highly polished & free from markings on the inside of the ring (unless you purchase engravings of course :) Are very suitable for wedding bands Are tough and tauted to outlast their owner (will not bend or thin over time)
Our tungsten rings... Because tungsten rings are made from an entirely different process - we are not able to make any of our tungsten rings. We have found a supplier whose quality we are very pleased with. We are sure you will agree. Tungsten rings are not engravable or re-sizable. Yes, the POLISHED finish on a tungsten ring is scratch-resistant (we are not going to say guaranteed because we hate being proven wrong), but under normal wear, your tungsten ring should stay looking as good as new for many years to come! Our tungsten rings are hallmarked (they come to us that way) with Tungsten Carbide on the inside of the ring. Tungsten rings can be broken/shattered. Please research online to be sure a tungsten ring is the right choice for you.
Why don't we offer lifetime exchanges Because we want to give you the best prices possible - we are selling all of our rings at or near wholesale. It is not realistic (we are a very small company) to expect that at near wholesale pricing we can also offer a lifetime replacement or exchange warranty. We offer limited returns/exchanges on almost all of our rings. We'd rather be honest up front then offer a lifetime warranty just to get customers and not be able to honor the warranty years down the road (for whatever reason). We appreciate your understanding and respect your right to purchase elsewhere if the lifetime warranty is a requirement for you.
All of our rings ship in drawstring organza ring bags in a bubble lined shipping envelope to reduce shipping costs. We do not have ring boxes available.
Seller maintains that it is the responsibility/liability of the purchaser to have researched ALL titanium, stainless steel and tungsten rings/ring properties before purchasing. We advise you use discretion and wear rings safely (ie: not when operating heavy machinery, applicable work situations, dangerous outdoor activies, etc). Purchasing with us indicates your understanding of and willingness to accept aforementioned responsibility/liability.
