Is there a tracking number assigned to my order?

Tracking numbers are assigned to UPS shipments immediately after the shipment is packaged and a shipping label has been printed.

How will I receive UPS tracking numbers?

eBay will send the buyer and e-mail with the tracking number. Tracking information can also be found in the Purchase History section of My eBay, on the Order Details page and on the Feedback page.

I purchased a few items from you during the same timeframe. Can you ship them together?

Yes, buyers can send one combined payment for all items purchased from TradePort within 3 days.

Do you offer a discount for combined shipments?

When purchasing more than one item, eBay will calculate the highest shipping cost and automatically give you a 20% shipping discount for each additional item within a consolidated invoice. Items that are paid separately do not qualify. Promotion does not apply to Fixed Price items with "immediate payment" required. Promotion does not apply to freight shipments.

How do you calculate shipping and handling costs?

Shipping and handling costs are fixed on a per item basis. Shipping and handling costs are nominally higher for wholesale items than for retail items because each item must be personally inspected and guaranteed to be in acceptable condition and include all critical accessories.

We believe a fixed cost to be an advantage. With shipping and handling costs stated up-front, the cost can be easily taken into consideration as part of the total price. The total shipping and handling cost is clearly listed in every TradePort item description.

Is my UPS shipment insured?

Yes, each shipment is insured to guarantee full replacement value in the event that the package is lost, stolen or damaged in transit. TradePort provides this service at no additional charge to our customers!

My shipment never arrived? What do I do?

If a package is not delivered, UPS can help by performing a search to locate your package. If the package cannot be found, TradePort will file a claim up to the declared value of the package contents.

The steps in a lost package claim are as follows:

  1. Lost Package Reported - In order to be considered lost, a package must be undelivered 24 hours after the expected delivery date and time. A report cannot be made until then. Please allow additional time when a package is delayed due to adverse weather.
  2. UPS Package Search - UPS will conduct a complete investigation to locate the package. The investigation may include a search of our shipping system and operation centers, or calls to recipients or shippers. The UPS search process usually takes 7 to 10 business days.
  3. Claim Authorized - If UPS is unable to locate the missing package, a Damage/Loss Notification claim letter will be mailed or faxed to TradePort. If UPS locates the package, the claim will not be approved, delivery information will be sent to the shipper of record, and the reporting process will end.
  4. UPS Reviews Documents - Requested documentation may include original invoices, purchase orders, proof of shipment, or other information required by UPS.
  5. Claim Paid - Once a claim has been approved, the payment will be processed. UPS will pay the lesser of purchase or replacement costs, up to the declared value. Typically, claim checks are mailed to the shipper's billing address on file 3 to 5 business days after UPS receives the required documentation.
When the claim has been APPROVED by UPS, TradePort will ship an identical replacement product to you (dependent on current stock) at our expense. If we don't have a replacement to send you, we will provide you with refund of your product and shipping costs. TradePort will work directly with UPS in an effort to recover the loss.

My shipment arrived damaged. How do I proceed?

Damage to a package can be reported by TradePort, recipient, or by UPS. After a damage inspection is performed by UPS, TradePort is contacted with the results. Depending on the results, TradePort can file a claim for the repair or replacement cost of the package contents up to the declared value.

The steps in a damaged package claim are as follows:

  1. Damage Reported - TradePort or recipient can report a package that has been damaged during shipment.
  2. UPS Inspects Package - UPS will inspect the damaged package to determine the cause of damage. UPS may inspect the package at the shipper's or receiver's site, or may collect the package for inspection at a UPS facility.
  3. Claim Authorized - If the claim is issued, a Damage/Loss Notification claim letter will be mailed or faxed to TradePort; UPS will not send the claim letter to a receiver. If the claim is not approved, UPS will notify TradePort.
  4. UPS Reviews Documents – TradePort will supply UPS with documentation that supports the actual repair or replacement cost of the merchandise, up to the declared value, as requested in the Damage/Loss Notification claim letter.
  5. Claim Paid - Once the claim has been approved and UPS receives the supporting documentation identified in the claim letter, payment will be processed.

Why is my package being billed at 70 pounds, if the item only weighs 30 pounds?

If your package has a large size-to-weight ratio, your package may be billed at dimensional weight rather than actual weight. Dimensional weight is calculated by multiplying the height in inches, by the length in inches, by the width in inches. Round each measurement to the nearest whole inch. The resulting total is the cubic size of your package. Divide the result by 194. This is the dimensional weight.

The billable shipping charge of the package is the greater of these two weights:

Actual weight of your package, or
Dimensional weight of your package

Why is my package being billed at 90 pounds and the shipping charge $50.00 higher than the advertised UPS Ground Domestic rate?

A $50.00 Large Package Surcharge will be applied to each UPS package when its length plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeds 130 inches, but does not exceed the maximum UPS size of 165 inches.

Large Packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds in addition to the Large Package Surcharge.

An Additional Handling charge will not be assessed when a Large Package Surcharge is applied.
